Ted Lasso star Juno Temple has quietly tied the knot — and she’s now confirmed who she married.

Right, here's one you probably didn't see coming: Juno Temple, fresh from her run on Ted Lasso, has apparently gone and tied the knot without telling half the world. Not just that – she managed to keep her entire wedding and most of her romance out of the headlines until now. Honestly, in celebrity terms, that's a proper magic trick.

Juno Temple got married in secret to actor Michal Szymanski during the past two years.

How it all started

Temple spilled the beans on Virgin Radio UK's TFI Unplugged podcast, finally letting on that she married Michal Szymanski – and they even bought a place together. So, how did these two cross paths? If you were guessing glitzy events or shared agents, you'd be completely wrong. Temple says she actually met Szymanski while filming Ted Lasso season 2. Back then, Szymanski was working as a driver – not hers, but for her co-star Hannah Waddingham.

Apparently there was some sort of undercover operation going on, as Temple described a 'secret code' setup where, thanks to Waddingham's help, she'd have a chance to bump into Szymanski during convenient (and somehow always extended) appointments. Nothing like a good bit of matchmaking from a mate, eh?

Waddingham herself was all for it, calling Szymanski a 'gorgeous man' and all but nudging Temple his way. And clearly, the encouragement worked out.

The wedding stays under wraps

The couple managed to keep things very much on the down-low, only openly confirming their engagement in 2024 when Temple called Szymanski her fiancé in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. Even then, no one seemed to twig they'd actually gone and got married until Temple just dropped the truth on radio. No celebrity exclusives, no paparazzi stakeouts. Just low-key, that's all.

Who is Michal Szymanski?

As for Szymanski himself, he's more than just a helpful driver. Turns out he's an actor in his own right, working in the industry for over a decade. Going by his IMDb record, he started out both acting and working as a production assistant on a 2015 short film, To My Father, before taking roles in all sorts of Polish series – titles like Lombard: Zycie pod zastaw, Kasta, Miasto dlugów, First Love, Dzielnica strachu, and more. He's also had a bit of a go behind the scenes, including on the video game Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3. Definitely a working actor – just not one for the usual gossip columns.

  • Temple and Szymanski have managed regular red carpet appearances together, most recently at the Ted Lasso season 4 premiere.

All in all, if you're wondering whether these two sidestep the limelight at all times – not quite. They still show up together for the big occasions, just without the insta-drama or endless PR fanfare.
