Spider-Man star Jacob Batalon secretly marries longtime girlfriend
Jacob Batalon is now married, Entertainment Weekly reveals, with the news landing as he lines up his Ned Leeds return alongside Tom Holland.
Looks like love is in the air over at the MCU. While most of us were busy speculating about the plot of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, it turns out Jacob Batalon has quietly staged a romantic side-plot of his own — by marrying his longtime girlfriend, Veronica Leahov. This wasn’t splashed across tabloids or parade-floats. Instead, news sneaked out in true Ned Leeds style: Batalon just casually called Leahov his wife mid-interview. Barely made a ripple, that, until fans started connecting the dots.
Brand New Day is due in cinemas on 31 July 2026.
How to Marry Like Ned Leeds
So who is the lucky partner? Veronica Leahov, if you’ve missed it, is an interior designer — and now, clearly, Mrs. Batalon in more than just spirit. She updated her name on her professional website, so there’s no room for speculation left. They were quietly engaged last year, announced via Instagram — Batalon’s own caption: ‘The beginning of the rest of our lives together.’ Well, mission accomplished there.
Batalon, being honest as ever, said in January on SiriusXM that, as far as the wedding planning went, he didn’t exactly take charge. In his own words, he’s ‘not good at planning’, so he lobbed the whole thing to Leahov. To be fair, he did pick up something handy:
‘I just figured out the difference between peonies and roses.’
If you’re keeping track at home, even MCU stardom doesn’t mean you get a grip on flowers until forced.
Everyone’s Getting Hitched
Almost at the same moment Batalon’s news surfaced, his co-star Tom Holland finally confirmed he’s married to Zendaya. That story came out through Esquire last month, with Holland, never one to overdo things, admitting he and Zendaya have ‘been married for quite some time’. He went full softy about it, calling her his best friend and saying he’s never felt so ‘supported and safe’. Can’t blame him, really.
Odd coincidence, but the new film sees Holland, Zendaya, and Batalon all back together for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. The film’s set to swing into cinemas on 31 July 2026. For now, though, it’s Batalon and Leahov quietly taking the prize for MCU’s stealthiest newlyweds.
