Action titans collide once more in a high-stakes showdown — only one will emerge on top.

If you had to bet on '80s icons clashing with a new generation of streamers, who would you pick—Schwarzenegger’s Predator or Stallone’s Creed? Turns out, when the dust settles on Tubi's streaming charts, it’s the boxing gloves that are comfortably beating the alien claws.

Streaming: Gloves vs. Claws

So, here’s the current situation: both the Predator and Creed franchises are getting plenty of clicks, but it's Creed II (2018) and Creed III (2023) that are actually sitting up top—number one and two, respectively, on Tubi’s most-watched list. The Predator movies aren’t getting totally ignored; The Predator (2018) and the original Predator (1987) still crack the top ten (eighth and ninth spot), so at least predator fans can claim they’re in the fight.

It is worth pointing out neither Creed III nor The Predator actually star Stallone or Schwarzenegger. (Stallone still signed off as producer for Creed III, because, let’s be honest, you don’t get to use the Rocky universe without him cashing a check.) Both legacies are still weirdly alive, just in that slightly sideways, generational baton-passing way.

How Did We Get Here?

We’re decades downstream from the original muscle-bound, mud-smeared face-offs. Schwarzenegger’s Dutch hasn’t picked up a gun onscreen since 1987—not unless you count, you know, showing up as downloadable content for a video game (which doesn’t count). Over the years, the Predator franchise has bounced through timelines and genres, spiraled into self-parody, and even tried to get philosophical. Most recently? What we got was a “redeemed” Predator in Predator: Badlands, which is about as far from the gritty jungle as it gets.

On the other side, Stallone has moved away from lacing up the gloves himself. Creed II was the last time he actually played Rocky, and now he stays behind the scenes as producer. There's a Rocky biopic hitting theaters in November 2026 (no CGI de-aging, mercifully), but an official Creed IV is still just a rumor. Michael B. Jordan says he’s open to it, but there’s nothing official percolating.

Will We Ever See These Legends Again?

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger (Dutch from Predator): No real sign he wants to come back. The most we’ve gotten lately is a Dutch lookalike in the animated Predator: Killer of Killers. Arnold mostly takes on lighter stuff and cameo work now. Sorry if you wanted one last jungle reunion.
  • Sylvester Stallone (Rocky Balboa): Theoretically, Rocky could pop back up in some “mentor” role. But every attempt to develop a Rocky-centered film since Creed II fizzled out. Yes, a Rocky biopic is on track, but don't expect Stallone’s Rocky to duck back into the ring—he's producing, not fighting.

One Last Round?

There’s something oddly comforting about seeing these franchises duke it out on a free streaming platform. It’s undeniable nostalgia that keeps the numbers high. 'Even after all these years, audiences still have an appetite for these old-school universes, even when the original stars have moved on.'

If you’re suddenly inspired to rewatch the entire Rocky saga or want to hear Schwarzenegger wax poetic about extraterrestrial trophies, you better get on it. According to Tubi’s ‘leaving soon’ banner, the Creed movies are on their way out next month. Let’s face it, if you’re coming for the nostalgia hit, you’re on the clock.
