Reacher season 4 release date revealed — here’s when Alan Ritchson’s Prime Video hit returns
Reacher is back on the clock: Season 4 hits Prime Video on August 12, 2026 with Alan Ritchson leading the charge — and a new franchise-expanding series waiting in the wings.
Right, for everyone who's somehow still not caught up: Prime Video's 'Reacher' is officially coming back for Season 4, and yes, Alan Ritchson's back in the lead. You'd struggle to avoid the hype last year—Season 3 was a proper streaming juggernaut. But now we've got an actual date and a few juicy bits about what the next chapter involves, plus—wait for it—a whole spin-off in the works.
Season 4: Set Your Calendar
Reacher returns to Prime Video on 12 August 2026. They're dropping three episodes that day, with fresh instalments rolling out weekly after that, wrapping up on 16 September. Classic streaming drip-feed—you can't just binge it all at once unless you wait. And as soon as the finale's done, they're launching 'Neagley', which is (predictably) set in the Reacher-verse.
What Happens This Time?
The new story is based on the 13th Jack Reacher novel by Lee Child, 'Gone Tomorrow'. This round, Reacher finds himself in New York—no sleepy backwater, plenty to get in his way. He witnesses Susan Mark, a Pentagon staffer, take her own life right in front of him. Naturally, he can't leave well enough alone. Next thing, he's untangling a mess involving a dodgy politician, terrorists doing the rounds, and murder (as per usual).
He's teaming up with Susan's brother, Jacob, trying to work out why she ended up dead and where on earth her missing son has got to. Meanwhile, there are rogue DEA agents knocking about, a suspicious family business up in Maine, and one of Reacher's deadliest former enemies lurking in the background.
Who’s Returning, Who’s New?
- Alan Ritchson returns as Jack Reacher (obviously)
- Maria Sten is back as Frances Neagley—she's leading the new spin-off straight after Season 4 ends
- Supporting cast: Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, Kevin Weisman, Kathleen Robertson, Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette (the list gets longer every year)
Behind the Scenes (and a Bit of Hype)
Sam Hill's still directing most of the episodes. Nick Santora is running the show, writing, and executive producing—so, if you've liked the vibe so far, it's not about to go wildly off-piste.
Amazon MGM Studios has already confirmed a fifth run, before the fourth even premieres. Ritchson himself teased it on Instagram and then Peter Friedlander (the studio's Head of Global Television) made it official, saying:
By the way, in case you missed it: Season 3 was watched by 54.6 million people in its first 19 days. No wonder they're milking this for all it's worth.
