Guy Ritchie’s crime drama led by Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren is sticking around — it’s been renewed.
Let’s be honest, when Guy Ritchie does crime drama, he usually nails it. And if you haven’t clocked his shift back to telly, you’ve almost certainly at least heard about his latest hit, MobLand. First series came out back in 2025, landed right on Paramount+, and absolutely ran with the moody London gangland formula—a lot of attitude, plenty of sly humour, and some proper acting muscle too. They’ve got Tom Hardy front and centre as Harry Da Souza, the fixer who more or less holds the whole circus together for the Harrigan family. As mob patriarch, there’s Pierce Brosnan playing Conrad Harrigan, and Helen Mirren as his wife Maeve—hardly minor league stuff, is it?
What’s Coming in Season Two
The first run ended with most of the main players dangling over various disaster cliffs. Conrad and Maeve were last seen being carted off on a murder wrap, and poor Harry got stabbed by his own wife Jan (that’s Joanne Froggatt for you). It was classic “wait a full year to find out what happened”, but if you’ve seen the new trailers you’ll know—they’ve not killed Tom Hardy off after all. The Harrigans, meanwhile, don’t stay locked up too long either. So we’re back with the old crew, now facing a decent amount of new trouble, including fracturing in their own ranks and some international heavy hitters trying to muscle in.
MobLand Season 2 kicks off on 18 September 2026, with ten episodes dropping weekly on Paramount+.
This time, the official line is that the Harrigans are trying (and mostly failing) to keep a united front while their criminal empire’s on the wane. Things are messy, violent, and—best of all—about to get even more tangled with Harry stuck in the middle. Basically, more chaos, more plotting, and nobody trusts anyone. Standard stuff, but that’s half the fun.

MobLand is sticking with the classic weekly release—none of that “dump the lot at midnight and watch your show vanish from the collective memory by Monday” model. Remember, The Gentlemen (another crime saga by Ritchie) recently dropped its second series all in one go, and it got great reviews but shed viewers surprisingly quickly. With MobLand, we get a bit less waiting: this second series arrives just one year after the first, and a third is already in the works.
