Daredevil: Born Again season 2 bows out with The Southern Cross crowning Angela del Toro as the new White Tiger, fighting alongside Jessica Jones and Daredevil — and positioning her as a prime recruit for Kamala Khan’s Young Avengers.

Let's be honest: Marvel has a lot of young heroes floating around the MCU, but so far their on-screen 'Young Avengers' lineup still feels a bit unconfirmed and, to be blunt, a little old for a group that has 'young' in the name. That might be about to change, thanks to a recent addition almost hidden in the chaos of Daredevil: Born Again's Season 2 finale.

White Tiger Gets a Spotlight

The final episode of Daredevil: Born Again (that would be 'The Southern Cross,' if you're keeping track) wraps up Angela del Toro's two-season rise from regular person to full-on superhero, handing her the White Tiger mantle. By the end of the episode, Angela's working side-by-side with some heavy hitters—Jessica Jones and Daredevil himself—facing off against the not-so-cuddly Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Clearly, she can handle herself on a proper lineup, not just as Daredevil's sidekick.

Why She Makes Sense for the Young Avengers

Here's where things get interesting: Unlike Jessica or Matt, Angela's actually young. We're talking teenage superhero—not a twentysomething playing a teen, but an actual teenager. Camila Rodriguez, the actress playing White Tiger, is also still in her teens, so this actually lines up.

So why not stick her with the Defenders or dust off Heroes for Hire again? Honestly, it doesn't add up. The current crop of Young Avengers (Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, and Cassie Lang) are all supposed to be peers, but the ages are all over the place, at least when you look at casting. Bringing in White Tiger would anchor the team with a genuine young hero.

What About Team Dynamics?

If you watched 'The Southern Cross,' you probably caught the big courthouse fight where Angela (as White Tiger) gets right into the action with Daredevil and Jessica Jones—zero awkwardness, totally holds her own. She's already shown she works well with a team, which is basically a requirement if you want to hang with Kamala Khan.

Connecting the Dots (and Characters)

  • Kamala Khan is very plugged into the superhero scene. With Matt Murdock outing himself as Daredevil and his past team-up with Kamala's dad (Yusaf Khan) back in Season 1, this MCU world is getting a lot more connected.
  • Matt was already invited to a Khan family dinner and could easily introduce Kamala and White Tiger, or just spill the info if Kamala starts poking around.
  • Kamala's recruiting style (see The Marvels' post-credits scene with Kate Bishop) is basically 'walk up and say hi,' so don't be surprised if she just straight-up DM's Angela about the Young Avengers.
  • Angela isn't great at keeping her superhero life a secret, so she's not exactly hard to find.

The Bigger Picture (and a Not-So-Subtle Nudge)

The bottom line: Angela del Toro has probably gotten more screen time and character development than half the would-be Young Avengers at this point. Adding White Tiger to the squad wouldn't just be logical; it would give whatever form this project eventually takes (Marvel hasn't officially announced it yet, so who knows) a chance to spread the spotlight to underdeveloped teammates—looking at you, Eli Bradley from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

'If Kamala is really assembling the best young superheroes, White Tiger is about as on-point as it gets.'

So, yeah, with all these dominos stacked up, don't be shocked if White Tiger ends up in the next iteration of the Young Avengers. It's about time!
