CBS has locked in autumn premiere slots for Marshals, Tracker and other returning favourites, revealing dates in a network-wide schedule drop instead of the usual drip-feed of announcements.

Right, brace yourself for a bit of a scheduling onslaught from CBS. The network's just firmed up a load of its heavy hitters for autumn 2026, so if you're the sort who still plans telly around actual broadcast slots, now's your chance to get your calendar in order. We've got firm dates for the return of some of CBS's biggest dramas, reality juggernauts, and a few new efforts that will probably be hard to avoid hearing about, at least in the first week.

Marshals Season 2 and Tracker Season 4 both premiere 4 October 2026.

Network Heavyweights Up First

The two most-watched dramas on network American telly last season, Marshals and Tracker, are back-to-back in the line-up. Both are dropping new seasons on the same Friday: 4 October 2026. Expect plenty of headlines about this so-called rivalry, even though it's the same channel and probably half the same viewers. Luke Grimes is back as Kayce Dutton in Marshals, and Justin Hartley returns as Colter Shaw in Tracker. If you like your drama outdoors and a bit rugged, you won't have long to wait.

Reality Stalwarts Return

Moving down the schedule, CBS's reality veterans are all lined up for autumn as usual, each slotting in a week or so apart—almost mechanical, but I suppose if it works.

  • 60 Minutes: 13 September 2026
  • Survivor: 23 September 2026
  • The Amazing Race: 30 September 2026

So that's the news magazine, the beach blokes fighting over rice, and the mad dash round the globe, all business as usual.

Scripted Dramas and Comedy – Loads of Returning Faces

For those after more scripted fare, FBI, CIA (yes, really), and Harlan Coben's Final Twist are all set for 5 October 2026. No big shuffles here—just more of what the CBS crowd seems to want: crime-solving, espionage, and twisty plotting. There's also the single-camera vampire comedy Eternally Yours—someone at CBS is still trying new things, apparently—plus Elsbeth (crime drama) and Cupertino (legal drama) all landing on 8 October 2026.

Small-screen sitcom territory isn't left out, either: Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage makes its third outing on 8 October 2026. Montana Jordan and Emily Osment are back as the ever-awkward newlyweds, joined as always by Raegan Revord, Rachel Bay Jones, Zoe Perry, Annie Potts, Will Sasso, Dougie Baldwin, and presumably the usual batch of studio audience reaction mics.

Returning Dramas and Veteran True Crime

Looking for more action and not fussed if it comes from fire, sheriffs, or Boston cops? Sheriff Country Season 2, Fire Country Season 5, and Boston Blue Season 2 are grouped together on 9 October 2026. Then there's stalwart 48 Hours—long-running enough to warrant some kind of plaque, now hitting Season 39 on 10 October 2026. If you want a weekend with murder mysteries, CBS is making it easy for you—just switch on and don't move for a month.
