Among Us Trailer Sneaks In Surprise Paramount+ Sci-Fi Series Premiere Date
Paramount+ pulled a shadow drop at Summer Game Fest 2026, debuting the official Among Us series trailer and revealing all 10 episodes are streaming now. The animated sci-fi comedy follows a crew of oddball, monochrome crewmates trying to smoke out an impostor aboard their ship.
Well, this one dropped with about as much warning as a power cut on a Monday. Paramount+ has gone and pulled a proper fast one with the launch of the 'Among Us' TV series. They didn't just announce a release date – they've gone and put the whole thing out at once. All ten episodes, ready to binge right now. No staggering, no build-up, just – here you go, have the lot. Announced during the 2026 Summer Game Fest, in case you were busy blinking and missed it.
What’s the Show Even About?
If you missed the pandemic gaming craze (were you living in a bunker?), 'Among Us' is that little indie game where you and some mates wander around a spaceship, fixing wires and failing to do tasks while one of you is secretly bumping off everyone else. The show sticks closely to that set-up: there’s a group of oddball, brightly coloured crewmates trucking junk around deep space, and one of them's an imposter set on picking everyone off. It's less gritty space opera, more slapstick whodunit – expect silliness.
The Voice Cast Is Madly Star-Studded
- Yvette Nicole Brown – Orange
- Kimiko Glenn – Cyan
- Liv Hewson – Black
- Ashley Johnson – Purple
- Wayne Knight – Lime
- Phil LaMarr – Brown
- Randall Park – Red
- Dan Stevens – Blue
- Debra Wilson – Yellow and also the ship’s Computer
- Elijah Wood – Green
- Patton Oswalt – White
Yes, really. If you imagine telling your childhood self that one day Elijah Wood and Patton Oswalt would voice blocky little astronauts, they'd have laughed you out of the room.
So Who Actually Made This Thing?
Owen Dennis is the main brains behind the show (you might know him from 'Infinity Train'), and he's executive producing with Forest Willard, Marcus Bromander, and Carl Neisser. Animation's being done by the folks over at Titmouse, who’re basically the go-to studio for irreverent animated telly these days. Also roped in as executive producers: Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina. It’s a CBS Studios production in partnership with Innersloth, so the original game devs are directly involved – always a good sign.
How Did We Get Here?
Now, if you’re wondering why anyone thought to make an 'Among Us' show in the first place, let’s rewind to late 2020. The game absolutely exploded during lockdown – sitting at #1 on Google Play in 66 countries and topping iOS charts in 55 as well. It basically took over the world for a while. They’d have been mad not to cash in, frankly.
What’s in the Trailer?
The trailer is packed with what you’d expect: crewmates goofing about, space gags, lots of side-eye, and (obviously) more suspicion than a London pub quiz. If you want a peek at the kind of mischief the crewmates get up to while trying to root out who’s sabotaging them all, it’s all there. No spoilers, but let’s just say, trust issues are the main theme.
'The series follows a group of eccentric, monochromatic Crewmates of a ship transporting junk across the galaxy who must root out an Impostor in their midst before they fall victim to its villainous designs.'
