This selection highlights six standout films and series now available to stream, ensuring your viewing schedule is sorted for the days ahead.

Star-Studded Dramas and Festive Delights

Leading the charge is Jay Kelly, a new dramedy from Noah Baumbach, known for his work on Marriage Story and Barbie. The film boasts an impressive ensemble, with George Clooney taking the title role alongside Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, and others. Clooney’s character, a celebrated actor, embarks on a journey across Europe with his manager, played by Sandler. As they travel, both men are forced to reckon with their past decisions, personal relationships, and the marks they’ll leave behind. Jay Kelly is available to watch on Netflix from 5 December.

For those seeking a dose of Christmas cheer, Oh. What. Fun. on Prime Video is a must. Michelle Pfeiffer stars as Claire Clauster, a woman who’s always held her family together during the holidays but this year opts for a break. As her relatives scramble to locate her and rescue their Christmas, Claire discovers what the season truly means when she finally puts herself first. The film, directed by Michael Showalter, is streaming on Prime Video from 3 December.

Family Favourites and Animated Adventures

Disney Plus continues to delight with the original Zootopia, a much-loved animated feature that remains popular as its sequel smashes box office records. The story follows Judy Hopps, the first rabbit to join the city’s police force, as she teams up with the cunning fox Nick Wilde to crack a mysterious case. Zootopia is now available for streaming on Disney Plus.

Meanwhile, Hulu has added the entire Home Alone collection, including all main entries and spin-offs. The original 1990 classic centres on eight-year-old Kevin McCallister, accidentally left behind when his family jets off to Paris for Christmas. Kevin must defend his home from a pair of hapless burglars, using every trick in the book. The franchise is available to stream on Hulu from 1 December.

Thrills, Monsters, and Season Finales

For those in the mood for something a bit different, Shin Godzilla lands on HBO Max. Released in 2016, this modern take on the Godzilla legend blends sharp political satire with impressive visual effects and intense action. The plot follows a monstrous creature’s assault on Tokyo, prompting the government to assemble a special task force in response. Shin Godzilla is streaming on HBO Max from 1 December.

Rounding out the list is the season finale of The Last Frontier on Apple TV Plus. This tense, action-driven thriller, inspired by the style of '90s films, stars Jason Clarke, Dominic Cooper, and Haley Bennett. The story follows retired U.S. Marshal Frank Remnick as he hunts down dangerous fugitives after a federal transport crashes near his isolated Alaskan hometown. The final episode of the season is available worldwide on Apple TV Plus from 5 December.
