MobLand starts filming season 3 in November, and season 2 has not even aired yet
As Season 2 lands this month, MobLand Season 3 has reportedly set when cameras roll — and it’s not far off.
Here we go, then: If you thought MobLand was going to rest on its laurels after that ferocious first season, you’re in for a surprise. Season 2 hasn’t even dropped yet (coming this September), and already we’ve got proper news about Season 3 – including exactly when filming gets underway and a strong hint at how quickly we’ll see it.
MobLand Season 3 begins filming November 2026.

Production moves fast
Let’s unwind what this actually means, since the timeline is oddly neat. MobLand Season 2 started filming in November 2025 and finished up by the end of March 2026 – a five-month sprint, by TV drama standards. Now, with Season 3 locked in to start filming in November 2026, they’re clearly aiming for that same efficient rhythm. So if everything goes to plan (and we all know that’s a big “if” in telly), filming should wrap by March or April 2027.
Paramount+ seems keen to keep up momentum, so don’t be surprised if they decide to slot Season 3 into a September 2027 release, just like they’re doing with the new one. Apparently, the gap between seasons is going to be fairly painless – which, given the way these cliffhangers land, is frankly a relief.
Where Season 2 picks up
If you need a quick catch-up: Season 2 carries straight on from all that mayhem at the end of the first run. The Harrigan family have wiped out their arch-enemies, the Stevensons, but predictably everything’s falling apart from the inside. There’s an absolute bombshell with Kevin Harrigan discovering that Conrad is Eddie’s real dad, which puts Paddy Considine’s character on the warpath and sets the stage for a lovely bit of civil war.
On top of that, Conrad’s hit with even worse news: he’s diagnosed with a degenerative mental condition. As if that’s not enough, two new heavyweights are gunning for the Harrigans, so the whole power dynamic’s about to go sideways. Lots brewing, none of it good for anyone involved.
Brosnan lets slip
Here’s where things get a bit juicy behind the scenes. Ahead of Season 2’s big debut, ScreenRant managed to nab Pierce Brosnan for an interview. When they pressed him on his character’s arc, Brosnan wasn’t just happy to discuss the new threats – he went and confirmed the news himself: filming for Season 3 absolutely starts in November.
So, for anyone keeping score, this lines up with the now-confirmed production schedule. If they keep to their five-month shoot and slot Season 3 in for an autumn premiere again, Paramount+ might actually pull off a rare feat: a gangster series without endless gaps between twists.
