If you’ve wondered where Mckenna Grace stands on nude scenes, she’s laid it out while promoting The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

Here we go: Mckenna Grace has been out doing the press rounds for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping—yes, that prequel, the one everyone will be talking about come November 2026. She spoke to Cosmopolitan UK for their winter edition, and honestly, gave a proper straight answer to something not every actor wants to say out loud.

Mckenna Grace’s new Hunger Games prequel hits cinemas 20 November 2026.

No to Nudity, Thanks

Emma Baty from Cosmo asked her, basically, if there were any jobs—inside the franchise machine or anywhere else—she’d flat-out refuse. Grace didn’t mince her words: nude scenes and anything ‘very hypersexual’ are off the table. She says she’s got huge respect for anyone who’s alright with it, but it personally ‘terrifies’ her. She can’t say if her feelings will ever change, but right now, no way.

In her words to Cosmopolitan: 'At this point, I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things. I respect anybody who can, but it’s terrifying to me. I don’t know if that’ll ever change.'

For folks who might assume this means she only ever says yes to safe, squeaky-clean roles, she pointed to her part in Scream. Grace pointed out that she doesn’t just do ‘wholesome’—her Scream character literally gets gutted, so it’s not as if she only takes on Disney Channel fare. Still, she admits she’s not above dreaming about becoming a Disney princess someday.

Child Star to Adult Choices

Grace is 20 now, but she’s not exactly new to all this. She looked back on starting out in the business when she was basically still in primary school. Her history stretches back to Crash & Bernstein (Disney XD), Gifted, I, Tonya, and The Handmaid’s Tale. She talked about the oddness of being a young actor—having to act all grown up when the cameras stop, but then expected to play a normal kid for the audience, even to the point of being told off for it later.

Now that she’s got a bit more age behind her, she enjoys finally being listened to by producers and having her say on the creative side—proper input into the characters, not just showing up and ticking boxes. Grace reckons it’s 'cool to be an adult and be able to give my opinion and have a bit more ownership over characters. I’ve really enjoyed sitting down with producers and pitching all my ideas.'
