General Hospital closed the week in heartbreak as a surprise mourner surfaced at Marco’s funeral, sending shockwaves through Port Charles. Danny’s school trouble boiled over, Carly sounded the alarm for Sonny, Nina mended fences with Curtis, and Molly faced a high-stakes surgery.

Let's be honest: a lot happened on General Hospital's April 3 episode, and about half of it was awkward conversation—perfect daytime drama fare, with the week wrapping up at Marco's funeral. Here's the rundown of who was grieving, who was scheming, and who might have had a little too much anesthesia.

First up: Molly's Forgettable Crush

Molly went in for endometriosis surgery and, honestly, her post-op was more entertaining than the operation. Kristina swung by pre-op for moral support, which was sweet. But after surgery? Molly, high as a kite, started gushing over Cody and even asked him to kiss her. (Cody: probably flattered. Molly: not going to remember any of it.) When she came to and the anesthesia wore off, she was totally in the dark about her little love confession. Cody, unfazed, immediately entered vacation planning mode, so… at least he got something out of the whole thing.

Carly, Sonny, and the Funeral Dilemma

If you thought attending a rival's funeral would be a bad idea, you're not alone. Carly was absolutely not having it when Sonny decided he wanted to attend Marco's service, warning him it had the potential to start an all-out war. Ric backed Sonny up, saying he just wanted to look innocent, but Carly's convinced Sidwell (Marco's dad, who is currently at peak rage) is not in a mood for logical explanations. Spoiler alert: she's probably right.

Nina and Curtis: Mutual Apologies, Mutual Guilt

Over at the "we've both screwed up" table, Nina took a moment to apologize to Curtis—for possibly playing a role in his split with Portia. Curtis let her off the hook, saying the marriage was already on borrowed time. He also apologized for airing her dirty laundry (her thing with Drew) to Willow. They both forgive each other, but Nina makes it clear she feels terrible that Willow is now even more entangled with Drew, thanks to her mistakes.

High School Drama: Danny's Day to Vent

In the "kids have feelings too" subplot, Alexis tries to deal with Danny after he gets in trouble at school for fighting. Danny's upset about Jason's arrest and is frustrated he can't do anything about it. Alexis gets it but gives him a very lawyerly speech about violence solving nothing. He promises to behave—if she can bring Jason home, that is. Alexis, truthfully, can't make that promise.

Marco's Funeral: Where Everyone Has a Grudge

The funeral itself was loaded, and not just because of grief. Here's how it broke down:

  • Laura & Ava: Laura was chatting with Ava until Ezra showed up, at which point Ava dipped out. Ezra wasted no time patting Laura on the back for taking his advice to distance herself from Sonny and Jason. If you're keeping score, that relationship is pure political theater.
  • Sidwell vs. PCPD: Sidwell cornered Jordan, demanding answers about the investigation into his son's death. Her answer: lots of polite boilerplate about 'ongoing investigations' and 'no credible leads.' Sidwell isn't buying it—he's convinced Dante (yes, that Dante) is hiding something.
  • Carly & Lucas: While most people would avoid more drama at a funeral, Carly checked in with Lucas and insisted neither Sonny nor Jason had a hand in Marco's death. Lucas said he knew, but plans to keep laying low at Wyndemere. Carly wasn't thrilled about that.
  • Sonny & Ric Flashpoint: Sonny and Ric finally showed up, and you could have cut the tension with a knife between them and Sidwell. After the crowd cleared, they approached Sidwell for a round of 'sorry for your loss' (because nothing says sincere like mobsters at a rival's funeral). Sidwell wasn't having it and flat-out threatened Sonny with payback for Marco's death. Awkward doesn't even cover it.

Best Quote from the Episode

'If you think I'm buying that you're innocent, Sonny, think again. You're going to pay for Marco's death.' — Sidwell, making it extremely clear the war isn't anywhere near over.

In other words: the stage is set for things to get way messier before they get better. And that's just another week in Port Charles.
