Season 2’s biggest question is answered: with Season 3 already filming, Wilson Bethel confirms Bullseye—Benjamin Poindexter—is back in Daredevil: Born Again.

So, if you were left scratching your head after the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale, wondering if we’d see Bullseye back in the action — here’s your answer: Yes, and it’s official.

Bullseye: Not Gone for Good

Wilson Bethel, who’s been chewing the scenery as Benjamin Poindexter (that’s Bullseye to everyone who didn’t bring a crib sheet), just went on the record that he will be back in Season 3. In his own words:

"I can confirm that I’m in Season 3. So, that’s great. I would obviously love to be used in some additional Marvel projects down the road, or my own Marvel project; that’s a dream. I have my fingers crossed for that, and the fan response to the character, hopefully, will warrant that."

If you haven’t finished Season 2 yet, minor spoilers ahead: The last we saw of Bullseye, he was leaving New York by airplane with a CIA spook named Mr. Charles. On first watch, it looked like a classic sendoff: Poindexter is off the board, Luke Cage is back with Jessica Jones (and their kid), and things seem wrapped up. Turns out, not so much — this is Marvel, after all. Apparently, the exit was less of a goodbye and more of a launching pad for what’s next.

What’s Bullseye Up To Now?

Bethel explained that at the end of Season 2, Poindexter’s slate has basically been wiped clean. No more debts, no more manipulative kingpins pulling the strings. Instead, our favorite unhinged sharpshooter is now working for the CIA or some Black Ops-adjacent organization. Translation: he’s got resources, zero oversight, and he’s as dangerous as ever. Bethel put it like this:

"It’s a really exciting point of departure for the next stage of things because where he ends up is essentially with a clean slate. He doesn’t owe anything to anyone, and he is a phenomenally talented killer who is now working for the CIA or some kind of Black Ops situation, which frees him up in all kinds of ways."

This whole storyline marks a big change for Bullseye. Remember, he’s usually Fisk’s personal attack dog, totally dependent on him for direction. With that leash gone, Bethel hinted that the character is about to look a whole lot more like the classic comic book Bullseye — unpredictable and on his own terms.

  • Bullseye exits NYC with a CIA handler in the Season 2 finale
  • This is set up as a reset for the character — no more Fisk, no more baggage
  • He’s now on the government’s payroll — which could go several different directions
  • Bethel says this could open things up for more classic comic-style Bullseye action

So, to sum up: Bullseye’s not out, he’s just getting started — and it sounds like Season 3 might finally give fans the merciless (and maybe even more unhinged) Bullseye they’ve been waiting for. Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is streaming now on Disney+, so get caught up, especially if you want to see where all this is heading.
