With Jon Bernthal back as Frank Castle in Marvel’s The Punisher: One Last Kill, Daredevil alum Wilson Bethel is taking aim at his own Bullseye spotlight, telling Variety he’s ready for a Punisher-style special next.

Let's talk Marvel villains for a second. With Jon Bernthal gearing up to put on the skull vest again—yup, we’re getting The Punisher: One Last Kill as an official Marvel Studios Special Presentation—you might assume the rest of the franchise’s baddies are feeling a little left out. Turns out, at least one of them definitely is. Turns out, Wilson Bethel (that’s Bullseye for you Daredevil fans) is more than ready for his own spotlight.

Bullseye Wants In On The Action

Bethel, who first showed up as the lethal marksman in Daredevil Season 3 back in the Netflix days, made it pretty clear this week that he’d be up for his own ‘special presentation’—the same Marvel sub-brand that brought us Werewolf by Night and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

When Variety asked Bethel if he’d like a Bullseye standalone in the style of Bernthal’s upcoming project, he couldn’t have been more blunt (pun intended?):
'From your lips to God's ears, man. I sure hope so.' So that’s a yes.

But Why Now?

There’s actually a decent bit of momentum behind a Bullseye comeback. Bethel’s still riding the Marvel train—he’s appeared across both seasons of Daredevil: Born Again, which keeps him in the same orbit as Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin, and, of course, Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock. With Born Again already pegged for a third season and Avengers: Doomsday set for December, that’s a lot of room for a fan-favorite villain to show up and throw some pointy objects around.

On top of that, The Punisher: One Last Kill drops on Disney+ exactly one week after Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 wraps. The scheduling is a little suspicious if you ask me. Both characters have significant history (they’ve crossed paths before, and that dynamic practically writes itself), so fans are naturally looking for narrative connections—whether Marvel admits it or not.

Quick Catch-Up: What’s Next For Marvel’s Street-Level Stories?

  • The Punisher: One Last Kill – Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, co-written by Jon Bernthal. Drops on Disney+ the week after Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 ends.
  • Bullseye – Wilson Bethel’s still in the Marvel mix via Born Again. Wants his own special. Fans are now watching Marvel HQ with sharp objects in hand.
  • Spider-Man: Brand New Day – Bernthal’s Punisher is crossing over here too, so brace for even more street-level hero chaos.
  • Daredevil: Born Again – Already renewed for Season 3. Clearly, Marvel’s not done with Hell’s Kitchen yet.
  • Avengers: Doomsday – On the calendar for December. You never know who might show up at this point.

All this to say: The Marvel TV machine is running hot, and with actors like Bethel openly lobbying for more villain-centric content, I wouldn’t be shocked if Bullseye gets another round in the ring soon. Whether it turns out as a full-on special or he just keeps popping up to mess with Daredevil and friends, it’s obvious Marvel is keeping its options wide open.

So if you’re a Bullseye fan—hang tight. With the MCU connecting more of these street-level stories, it might just be your guy’s turn to step into the spotlight.
