Another Hollywood couple calls time: Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have officially split up after nearly a decade together. Both actors put out a joint announcement, and if you blinked, you might have missed it, considering how quiet they’ve kept their private lives until now.
In a joint statement to People, Seyfried and Sadoski said: 'We have been separated for a while. And it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever—and it’s GOOD.'

Seyfried and Sadoski first crossed paths in 2015 during their run in the Off-Broadway play The Way We Get By. By early 2016, real feelings had turned into a proper relationship, which wasn’t wasted on Hollywood either—they played romantic interests in the 2017 comedy-drama The Last Word.
Things moved quickly from there: engagement announced in September 2016, then they eloped six months later in March 2017, slipping off into the countryside for what Sadoski described as a quietly perfect ceremony. No fuss, no press – just the two of them and an officiant.
Reflecting on their wedding at the time, Sadoski said: 'We eloped. We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing. It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other.'
Afterwards, he called Seyfried the person he loves, admires, and respects more than anyone else – not exactly a low bar. Seyfried, for her part, once described the relationship as a bit of yin and yang, which seems apt for two actors balancing careers and family life.

The couple’s first child, their daughter Nina, arrived soon after the wedding. They had their second, a son named Thomas Jr., in September 2020.
