Which The Boys actors were in Supernatural? The list runs into double figures — and season 5 put three of them in one scene
Every Supernatural actor who turned up in The Boys — from series regulars to single-scene cameos — with the roles they played in both Eric Kripke shows, the Gen V crossovers, and the season 5 episode that finally reunited the Winchester leads on screen.
Eric Kripke created Supernatural in 2005 and ran its first five seasons; The Boys, which he ran from 2019 to its finale in 2026, doubled as his repertory company reunion. By the time the Prime Video series ended, 14 Supernatural actors had appeared in the main show — 16 across the franchise, once you count Gen V.
The scene fans waited six years for
The crown jewel arrived in season 5, episode 5, "One-Shots", in April 2026. Jared Padalecki debuted as Mister Marathon, an ageing speedster supe, and Misha Collins as Malchemical, a comics-accurate minor villain whose power is breathing out toxic gas — and both shared a scene with Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy. That's Sam Winchester, Castiel, and Dean Winchester in one room for the first time since Supernatural ended in 2020.
Kripke had teased before release only that Padalecki and Collins would be playing "douchebags". He undersold the episode: the pair turned up past the 45-minute mark, at a house party stuffed with celebrity cameos — Seth Rogen among them — and Malchemical's contribution to the plot is gassing Homelander unconscious to pitch Soldier Boy on an alliance.

The structure was deliberate misdirection: viewers spent the episode clock-watching for two Supernatural stars and got ambushed by a room full of extra cameos instead.

- Gattlin Griffith — the boy antichrist Jesse Turner → young Gunpowder, season 3 flashbacks.
- Kai Bradbury — a shop clerk (season 13) → young Kenji, Kimiko's brother.
- Isaiah Adam — a forensic technician (season 7) → the hired actor playing "Lance Corporal Dan Miller".
Over on Gen V, Alexander Calvert (Jack Kline, Lucifer's son) plays Godolkin student Rufus, and Maddie Phillips (necromancer Harper Sayles) plays Cate Dunlap.
The Easter eggs beyond casting
The in-jokes go past the credits. Season 2 has Stormfront run over by a 1967 Chevy Impala — the Winchesters' car. Season 3 frames Soldier Boy, Butcher, and Hughie at a car boot in a deliberate recreation of Sam and Dean's "we've got work to do" shot. And Jim Beaver's Singer drops Bobby's signature "idjit" in the season 4 finale.
Kripke's casting rule, on the evidence of five seasons: survive Supernatural, and sooner or later Vought has a contract for you.
Jared Padalecki, for the record, was the last of the big three to arrive — Kripke publicly courted him for years, and the deal was announced in February 2025, in a video where Ackles personally recruits both him and Collins. Some reunions just need a supe-sized budget.
