What Time Do Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 Episodes Drop? Full Schedule
Paramount has finally locked in when the next Star Trek adventure lands, tucking the news into a fresh teaser rather than a shouty press release.
Right, let’s just admit it: even the crankiest Star Trek devotees have started to grumble about Strange New Worlds, but I’m not even pretending to be chill about Season 4. Can't help it — I need this series back, and not just for the spaceship wallpaper. The forthcoming season is due to land in a matter of weeks, and frankly, the producers aren’t pulling back on the weird or the ambitious. With the show finally boxed in by The Original Series timeline (there’s only so far you can prequel before the walls close in), Season 4 is promising a mix of madcap adventures and that old-school, highbrow sci-fi melodrama. For my money, the most intriguing bit is the big finale — 'Tomorrow's Enterprise'. If that doesn’t turn out to be a cheeky nod to The Next Generation’s classic, I’ll eat my hat. My own anticipation levels: unreasonably high.
No Binge-Fest This Time
It’s become the norm for streaming shows to drop a couple of episodes up front, and I get why, but can we agree it kills the fun a bit? Fortunately, Strange New Worlds is getting back to basics for its Season 4 launch: only one episode drops on 23 July. Just one. No triple-feature debut like in 2022, and none of the Season 3 two-parter business from last year. If you’re into that delayed gratification life, this is very good news. The premiere — titled 'Valles Marineris' — is widely expected to feature those bizarre dinosaurs you’ve spotted in the promo material. Let's be honest: you don’t throw prehistoric beasts on screen unless you’re confident the story can stand on its own.
'Season 4 kicks off on 23 July and wraps up exactly ten weeks later, with new episodes every Thursday.'
Paramount+ Dates and What We Know
The elephant in the room: Paramount+ as a platform still exists, merger rumours and all, so that’s where you’ll find new Trek for the time being. Season 4 is keeping with the weekly drop, so it’s a strict diet of one episode per Thursday, every Thursday, from late July through late September. Episodes should be live by 3am Eastern — or, for the nocturnal crowd in California, midnight Pacific.
- 23 July: 'Valles Marineris'
- 30 July: 'The Griffin Incident'
- 6 August: 'Human Best Friend'
- 13 August: 'A Case of Chiaroscuro'
- 20 August: 'Level Five Transporter Accident'
- 27 August: 'Off-Hour'
- 3 September: 'Like Chronitons Through the Hourglass'
- 10 September: 'Orders of Magnitude'
- 17 September: 'Once La'An a Time'
- 24 September: 'Tomorrow’s Enterprise'
Season 4 clocks in at the now-standard 10 episodes, but don’t get comfortable: Season 5 has officially been confirmed as the end, and will only run six episodes when it lands in 2027. Sad trombone. But it’s still quality over quantity at this point, and by the look of things, this penultimate batch is out to impress.
Who’s Aboard This Year
The regular Strange New Worlds crew are all back for this round. That means Anson Mount (Captain Pike), Rebecca Romijn (Number One), and Ethan Peck (Spock), plus Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, Jess Bush as Chapel, Melissa Navia as Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M'Benga, Christina Chong as La'An, and Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk. Add in your expected mix of guest stars and a conspicuous callback or two, and Season 4 is shaping up to be one for the notebook-waving Trekkies and us casuals alike.
