Nicole Kidman’s pro-wrestler debut on Apple TV+’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles came with real-life drama: she arrived on set seriously unwell and was rushed to hospital — and now the reason has been revealed.

Here’s one for the 'wait, what?' file: Nicole Kidman literally dragged herself onto the set of Apple TV+'s Margo's Got Money Troubles (April 22 episode) to play a professional wrestler — despite being absolutely flattened by the flu — and then got whisked away to the hospital right after she nailed the scene. I mean, we already know Kidman is a Hollywood workhorse, but this is next-level commitment.

Kidman Goes Full Wrestler, Despite Feeling Like Death

So, in this particular episode, Kidman is both executive producer and guest star. Her big moment? Playing a wrestler at a fan convention — not exactly a low-key cameo. Here’s the kicker: according to Nick Offerman (who’s in the cast), the production had gone all out for this sequence. We’re talking hundreds of extras, wrestling stunts, the works. The whole thing was scheduled to shoot in a single day (because of course, schedules have zero chill).

Morning-of panic, then… Superhero Mode

  • Early in the morning, the cast and crew find out Kidman is seriously sick — as in, can’t get out of bed sick.
  • But by around 11AM, word comes down: 'Nicole's coming.' And she does, looking pale and completely wiped out, but determined to get it done.
  • With everyone basically holding their breath, she powers through her scenes, making sure the show doesn’t have to reschedule or cancel anything major.
  • As soon as filming wraps, Kidman is taken straight to the hospital for an IV. No publicist spin here — she was really that sick.

Offerman Was Seriously Impressed

Offerman summed it up with a mix of genuine awe and the perspective of a guy who’s worked with lots of pros over the years. Here’s how he put it:

'I already admired you so much, but this is how you get to be Nicole Kidman, is you show up so that your show doesn't lose a minute of your value. It was so generous. It was astonishing.'

So yeah, if you ever hear someone try to say Kidman just coasts on her name, point them to this story. Most people would’ve just called out sick and left the production scrambling. Instead, she basically tough-mudded her way through a wrestling set piece in front of a live crowd, then went directly to the ER. If that’s not dedication, I don’t know what is.
