Suit up: My Adventures with Superman is soaring back soon, as Warner Bros. Animation locks in the new season’s release date and unveils a first look, with Jack Quaid returning as the Man of Steel.

If you missed Superman awkwardly navigating his double life, trying to save the city and keep his romance on the rails, you won’t have to wait much longer—the animated series My Adventures with Superman is on its way back. And yes, it’s part of Adult Swim’s late-night cartoon lineup, which always feels like the show’s natural habitat.

When’s Season 3 dropping?

So here’s the deal: Season 3 will premiere at midnight (that’s 12 AM sharp), Saturday, June 13. As usual, you can catch it on Adult Swim as part of their Toonami anime/action block. Not a night owl? No problem—it hits HBO Max the day after, so you don’t actually need to mess up your sleep schedule just for Superman (unless you want to, of course).

What’s the new season about?

In this next round, Clark Kent has finally come into his own as Superman and made peace with the whole 'I’m from Krypton' thing. He’s apparently ready to settle down. (Good luck, Clark—like Metropolis is ever actually chill.) Meanwhile, Lois Lane has leveled up to become The Daily Planet’s star reporter, but she’s not exactly aiming for a quiet life.

Then there’s Jimmy Olsen, who’s gone from struggling freelancer to full-blown celebrity journalist. But fame doesn’t make romance easier—he’s pretty intimidated by Kara Zor-El (yep, Supergirl is here), who’s new to Earth and trying to figure out where she fits in. In other words, it’s all superhero drama, workplace comedy, and a fair amount of romantic awkwardness. Plus, there’s the matter of new villains threatening both the future and the friendships of this not-so-average crew.

  • Clark Kent/Superman: Jack Quaid
  • Lois Lane: Alice Lee
  • Jimmy Olsen: Ishmel Sahid
  • Kara Zor-El: Kiana Madeira

Who made this thing?

The show is still being run by Jake Wyatt and Brendan Clogher (showrunners/co-executive producers). If you liked the last two seasons’ style, good news—nothing major is changing there.

What are they promising?

Adult Swim’s Michael Ouweleen clearly wants you to know this isn’t just more of the same. In his words:

This is the kind of show action-animation fans tune into Toonami for. Season three of My Adventures with Superman goes harder, looks bigger, and packs the emotional punch that makes this series such a standout.

So in theory, we’re in for even bigger moments—both visually and emotionally. We’ll see if they deliver, but the hype machine is in full swing.

If you want a sneak peek, there’s already a first-look image floating around (no surprise, all capes, dramatic lighting, the usual Superman stuff).

Long story short: If you’re a fan of superhero cartoons that don’t shy away from romance and actual character arcs, June 13 is your next big appointment.
