Netflix has kicked off production on The Gentlemen season 3 — and three very familiar faces are joining the fray.

Well, it's official: The Gentlemen is back for a third season, and if you thought Guy Ritchie had already thrown everything at the wall, apparently he's still got a few surprises. Netflix gave the green light for season 3 just ahead of series 2 dropping, and now they've revealed production is underway, with a few rather mad additions coming to the cast. So, if you wanted your gangster drama dialled up with more star power, this round's for you.

The Gentlemen season 3 is now filming across the UK and Morocco.

Returning Faces and Serious Guest List

If you’re keen on the regular crew, don’t worry — most of them are locked in. Theo James (who seems incapable of playing a character without causing havoc) is back as Eddie, alongside Kaya Scodelario as Susie. The returning line-up keeps it firmly British, with Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins, and Benjamin Clementine all back in action. Maya Jama, whose character Aisha made some waves in season 2 as the go-to fixer, is back as well — quite right, too.

Now, here’s where it takes a sharp turn into “hang on, what?” territory. The new season’s rolling out red carpet treatment for Robert Carlyle (go on, Begbie), Elijah Wood (yes, you read that correctly), and Orlando Bloom. That’s alongside Dexter Fletcher, Bruna Marquezine, Ed Speleers, Saffron Burrows, and Bugzy Malone. Properly eclectic mix — it’s as if someone spun the TV casting lottery and filmed the results.

Story and Creative Team

The third season has the usual suspects behind the camera as well, with Guy Ritchie leading the writing, joined by Matthew Read. Directing duties are split between Ritchie and Eran Creevy. The rest of the behind-the-scenes lot remains familiar too: Moonage Pictures’ Will Gould, Simon Crawford Collins, and Frith Tiplady executive producing alongside Jonathan Glickman and Alix Jaffe (Miramax TV), plus Theo James getting in on the EP action. Sophie Klein, Sophie MacClancy, and Max Keene are producing the latest round of chaos.

This time, the big plot swing is Eddie and Susie embarking on a scheme to build a casino in the Middle East. Some might call that ambitious, others would just say reckless — but that seems to be the way with the Dukes. There’s talk of threats at every turn, and the whole project spinning out into some proper “high stakes” territory.

Guy Ritchie himself couldn’t resist teeing up expectations for a grander, riskier season this time around. Here’s what he had to say:

"The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded and the consequences carry weight. A third season felt inevitable, and I'm looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further."
