Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban's Audible full cast: Daniel Radcliffe's own stunt double is among the voices
Audible's third full-cast Potter runs on more than 200 performers, a Dolby Atmos mix and a narrator with an OBE. One of the smaller parts went to somebody whose Potter credits predate every other name on the list.
More than 200 performers, an original score and a narrator who holds an OBE. One of the Knight Bus crew is played by a man who spent six films being thrown across sound stages so Daniel Radcliffe didn't have to be.
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: The Full-Cast Edition arrived on Audible on 13 January 2026, co-produced with Pottermore Publishing, mixed in Dolby Atmos with original music and location sound capture. Cush Jumbo OBE narrates, as she does across the run.
Who plays whom
The headline casting for book three is the new arrivals, since this is the volume that introduces the year's three most consequential adults:
- Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù — Sirius Black.
- Iwan Rheon — Remus Lupin.
- Riz Ahmed — Severus Snape.
- Saoirse-Monica Jackson — Professor Trelawney.
- Matt Berry — Sir Cadogan, the portrait knight, which is casting you can hear before you read it.
- David Holmes — Stan Shunpike, conductor of the Knight Bus.
Returning across the series: Hugh Laurie as Dumbledore, Michelle Gomez as Professor McGonagall, Mark Addy as Hagrid, Simon Pegg as Arthur Weasley and Matthew Macfadyen as Voldemort. The trio are Frankie Treadaway (Harry), Max Lester (Ron) and Arabella Stanton (Hermione).
The man on the Knight Bus
David Holmes doubled Radcliffe from 2001 across the first six films, having been picked out by stunt coordinator Greg Powell during a broomstick test. A competitive gymnast from Leigh-on-Sea who got his first stunt work on Lost in Space in 1998, he also doubled Tom Felton on occasion and appeared on screen as a Slytherin beater.
On 28 January 2009, aged 25, he was rehearsing a wire stunt for Deathly Hallows – Part 1 when he was pulled into a wall and broke his neck. He has been paralysed from the chest down since, and spent seven months at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.
Holmes and Radcliffe launched the podcast Cunning Stunts in 2020 to talk about stunt-performer safety. HBO's documentary David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived followed in 2023, a memoir in 2024, and an MBE in 2026.
Stan Shunpike is a small part — three chapters, a purple triple-decker and a fondness for the sound of his own voice. Giving it to the man who did Harry's flying for six films is the sort of detail that costs a producer nothing and lands anyway.
This is the last book for this Harry, Ron and Hermione
Treadaway, Lester and Stanton hand over after Prisoner of Azkaban. From Goblet of Fire, the trio are voiced by Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan and Nina Barker-Francis — the characters age four years across that gap, and Audible recast rather than pretend otherwise.
Stanton is the name to watch. Born on 11 April 2014, she played the title role in Matilda the Musical in the West End from September 2023 to March 2024 and Control in Starlight Express at Wembley, and in May 2025 was cast as Hermione Granger in HBO's television series opposite Dominic McLaughlin and Alastair Stout. She is the only one of the three audiobook leads playing the same character in both productions.
What's left of the run
Goblet of Fire followed on 10 February 2026, with the remaining books landing monthly and Deathly Hallows closing the series on 12 May 2026.
For the record: Matthew Macfadyen voices Voldemort, who does not appear in Prisoner of Azkaban in any form. He has the year off.
