Pete Davidson has revealed a surprising secret about How to Rob a Bank co-star Nicholas Hoult’s personal life — one you won’t see coming.

If you thought you already knew everything about Nicholas Hoult, well, think again. The X-Men and The Great alum has apparently had a much busier few years on the family front than we realised – at least if his co-star Pete Davidson is to be believed. This all spilled out casually during a promo interview for their upcoming crime comedy, How to Rob a Bank, which frankly sounds chaotic both on and off-screen.

Pete Davidson called Nicholas Hoult 'a great dad, father of four. Four under what? 7... which is nuts.'

Surprise, Hoult has four kids?

Davidson, never one to shy away from overshare, completely dropped the news that Hoult is now a father of four, and not just any four – apparently that's four children all under age seven. 'Nuts' is definitely one word for it. Until now, we only publicly knew about his eldest being born back in 2018 and a second child arriving in 2022 with model Bryana Holly. The latest? Davidson strongly implied the couple have since welcomed twins, though this has not been confirmed anywhere official. Hoult’s team are keeping typically tight-lipped, and we haven’t got a birth date, names, or a peep out of their reps.

Davidson also said Hoult would 'fly back every weekend to go see his family' during filming, and found it 'very inspiring and awesome.'

This revelation came out as Davidson was chatting about the filming dynamic. Apparently, while they were both working on How to Rob a Bank, Davidson’s then-partner Elsie Hewitt was pregnant (she gave birth last year). Meanwhile, Hoult was heading home every weekend from set to see his (now probably rather full) household. Davidson found that pretty admirable, as any parent trying to juggle the whole work-life chaos probably would.

What's it like being Nicholas Hoult's kid?

Davidson had clearly quizzed Hoult about parenthood, especially that infamous five-and-under memory myth – you know, that no one remembers anything from their early childhood. Hoult apparently shrugged that off, saying, 'We'll remember.' He’s been looking into child development, reckoning those first five years are absolutely crucial.

As for how much his kids know about his rather public job, Hoult’s not planning to keep them in the dark forever. He joked at the interview about reminding them who pays for the cereal: 'What do you want for breakfast? Don’t forget Dad's a big famous actor.' Apparently, fame has already started making things awkward on the school run: his eldest once got upset when strangers asked for selfies, so Hoult’s careful not to have him pop up in fan pics. Guess that’s one tricky bit of having a Hollywood dad no matter how low-key you try to play it.

How to Rob a Bank is Hoult and Davidson's new heist comedy, and the pair promoted it together with Anna Sawai.
