Pedro Pascal’s Unlikely On-Stage Foe: Marvel Star Revealed
Pedro Pascal tops Google’s 2025 search charts, but a surprising revelation about a Marvel actor he once worked with has fans talking. Discover the story behind their infamous stage encounter.
Pedro Pascal has firmly established himself as the most sought-after name in the United States this year, according to Google’s Year in Search 2025. His recent string of high-profile roles has only cemented his place at the forefront of the entertainment world. Yet, amidst his impressive career, one particular tale from his early days continues to amuse fans and colleagues alike.
Stage Antics: A Ghostly Distraction
Reflecting on his extensive experience in theatre, Pascal once recounted a memorable episode involving Oscar Isaac, now widely recognised for his role in Moon Knight. The two shared the stage in the 2004 production of Beauty of the Father, where Isaac portrayed the ghost of Federico Garcia Lorca. Only the lead character could see Lorca, leaving the rest of the cast to ignore Isaac’s presence entirely. Pascal described the challenge of maintaining composure as Isaac mischievously tried to break his concentration during serious scenes.
He played a ghost. He was the ghost of Federico Garcia Lorca, and no one but the main character could see Lorca, and the rest of us couldn’t see Lorca, but Oscar’s on stage, and he knows that we can’t see him, so he would come into your periphery while you were doing text, and just get you to laugh. It was a nightmare. It was a nightmare. You’re just doing this super serious scene, and then you start to feel his face just coming up and all right over here.
It’s fair to say that keeping a straight face under such circumstances is no small feat. Pascal’s ability to deliver his lines undistracted is a testament to his professionalism and perhaps a hint at why he’s become such a fixture in the industry.
A Friendship Forged in Laughter
Their on-stage mischief was merely the beginning of a lasting camaraderie. Years later, in 2019, Pascal and Isaac reunited for the action-packed film Triple Frontier. By then, both had become household names, and their friendship was the subject of much public interest. Rather than shy away from the attention, the pair leaned into their so-called bromance, often sharing light-hearted moments on social media. One particularly memorable post saw Pascal sharing a photo of the two embracing, a rare display of affection between male friends in the industry.
During a 2022 interview, Isaac joked about Pascal’s unwavering loyalty, quipping:
He’s obsessed with me. I try to get away from him, he finds me. Even when I change my number… it’s like a disease.
Their rapport, both on and off screen, has not only delighted fans but also subtly challenged traditional notions of masculinity in the public eye.
Pascal’s Relentless Rise Continues
This year alone, Pascal has featured in three major films—Eddington, Materialists, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps—as well as the second series of The Last of Us. While he may have appeared in more productions last year, his popularity shows no sign of waning. In fact, his schedule for 2026 is already packed with roles in two of the industry’s most prominent franchises: The Mandalorian and Grogu and Avengers: Doomsday. It would hardly be a surprise to see his name topping search lists again next year.
Upcoming projects include:

| Avengers: Doomsday | Anthony Russo, Joe Russo | 2026 | Marvel Studios, AGBO |

Pascal’s enduring partnership with Isaac and his ever-expanding list of credits continue to capture the imagination of audiences everywhere.
