If you thought Avengers: Endgame felt packed, Marvel apparently took that as a challenge for their next team-up spectacle. Avengers: Doomsday, lining up for a 2026 release, now looks set to outdo its own franchise in sheer headcount. The latest update? We're not talking a dozen, not even 50—try roughly 180 cast members. That's not a misprint. Empire magazine dropped that particular bomb, though Marvel’s keeping plenty still under wraps, as usual.

Comic-Con Unveils (a Few) Secrets
The fog began to lift a bit at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Marvel Studios threw a typically flashy panel, fronted by president Kevin Feige. The real jaw-dropper was Robert Downey Jr. — not reprising Tony Stark, but instead, stepping in as Doctor Doom this time around. Chris Evans also made the trip back for another go as Cap, straight from Endgame retirement. But the crowd-pleasing moment? Someone in a grey Deadpool costume wandered on stage, only to reveal himself as Ryan Reynolds. Not exactly a subtle entrance, even by Comic-Con standards.

Hugh Jackman poured petrol on the fire with a new video, strongly hinting at Wolverine and Deadpool cameos, but until Marvel coughs up actual confirmation, it’s all speculation.
