Jimmy Kimmel Roasts Donald Trump as Fat John Wick After New Photo Surfaces
Undeterred by calls for his firing from Donald Trump and the first lady over his White House Correspondents Dinner jokes, Jimmy Kimmel doubled down, branding the president a fat John Wick after Trump posted a photo holding a rifle.
Jimmy Kimmel can’t keep himself out of Trump’s orbit, and let’s be honest, he doesn’t seem to want to. After catching heat from both the former president and Melania Trump about his routine at the White House Correspondents' Dinner (which quite a few people, including Trump himself, said should have gotten him fired), Kimmel is at it again. This time, he’s poking fun at a particularly wild Trump social media post.
Trump Channels ‘Action Hero’… Kind Of
Trump posted what can only be described as a straight-to-VOD movie poster of himself, gun in hand, explosions in the background, and not even pretending he isn’t LARPing an action hero. The image was shared at 4:05 a.m. (makes you wish there was a Twitter curfew), along with a caption threatening Iran: 'Iran can’t get their act together. They don’t know how to sign a non-nuclear deal. They better get smart and soon.' The poster’s tagline? 'NO MORE MR.NICE GUY.' Subtle.
Kimmel Goes In (Again)
On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel couldn’t help but riff on this. He reminded viewers (as if we needed it) that Trump's team has claimed they don't 'negotiate through the media,' but, as Kimmel put it, 'they negotiate exclusively through Truth Social posts from the president's toilet in the middle of the night.' That single post at 4 a.m. kind of proves his point.
For Kimmel, the real question was how this post is supposed to land with Iranian leaders. And he couldn’t help picturing their reaction:
'Best case scenario, they go, "You know what? The old man’s lost his marbles. He can’t sleep. He’s cosplaying as fat John Wick."'
Kimmel added that if anything, they'd want to "call his kids to make sure he's okay."
The Roasts Keep Coming
- Kimmel went on to joke that Trump 'looks like Rambo and Dumbo at the same time.'
- He also questioned whether the image would really strike fear—imagining an Iranian reaction like, 'Oh, Mushtaba, get in here. This time, he means business.'
- And, in peak late-night fashion, Kimmel pointed out that Trump 'waited three whole days' after the White House Correspondents' Dinner to post a photo of himself with an assault rifle, calling that 'a lot of restraint.'
If you were hoping for less weirdness from the Trump/Kimmel saga, well, buckle up. Both men seem to be thriving on this beef. As for the post itself, it’s just about as subtle as a bazooka and about as convincing to world leaders as a Halloween costume, which is honestly par for the course in this ongoing spectacle.
