Jason Momoa Hops Back on the Road

First up, Jason Momoa is back doing his 'On the Roam' thing. Season two of his docuseries lands May 14. If you missed the first run: yes, it’s Momoa, and yes, he’s traveling around, meeting fascinating craftspeople and artists—basically indulging all his obsessions and sharing what makes him tick.

Momoa told Screen Rant about why he even made this show: 'It’s just all the things that, I guess, curious or obsessed with and the things that I love.'

He added that the whole point was 'to not only give thanks to the people who inspire me, but to honor the people who deserve to be honored, and things that I find interesting or who have helped me along the way.' Basically, it’s his personal highlight reel of the folks and stories he thinks deserve some limelight.

According to Jason, what started as him just wanting to spotlight cool stuff kind of took on a life of its own, and every episode developed its own vibe. In short: if you like Momoa or offbeat travel docs, this one’s worth a look.

Let’s Talk About 'Lurker'

On May 15, HBO Max is dropping 'Lurker,' a psychological thriller about a retail worker named Matthew who gets way too interested in the life of his pop star friend, Oliver. What starts out as a friendship turns into something creepier, with Matthew trying to control more and more of Oliver’s life. If you like your thrillers tense and uncomfortable, this sounds squarely in your wheelhouse. ('Lurker' is a Mubi release, in case you’re wondering how it ended up on Max.)
