Hunger Games star just joined Keira Knightley in The Worst
Keira Knightley’s dark comedy The Worst just beefed up its cast, adding nine Hollywood mainstays to the ensemble — including Hunger Games alum Sam Claflin and Tom Hollander.
If you thought 'The Worst' sounded intriguing just from its title alone, well, the cast list is turning out to be just as packed as you’d expect from a Brit-tinged black comedy. Keira Knightley’s already on board, of course, but a fresh wave of big names has just joined the ensemble – and yes, there’s even a familiar face from Hunger Games in the mix.
The Names Piling On
Here’s who’s new to the guest list: Sam Claflin (he’s the Hunger Games lad, but he also popped up in Enola Holmes), Tom Hollander (if you’ve watched British telly in the last twenty years, you know this one), Anthony Boyle, Josh Finan, Anna Maxwell Martin – who’s always good value – Dustin Demri-Burns, Sian Clifford, Zackary Momoh, and Eka Chavleishvili. That, on top of the already announced Knightley, Alicia Vikander, and Erin Kellyman, should make for a pretty busy party on screen.

What’s the Story, Then?
The film – marking Simon Woods’s first step into directing a feature – circles around Emily (played by Vikander) and Max Fisher (Hollander), who are a socialite couple hosting a ‘lavish night in’ at their flash new chateau. They’ve invited a crowd of similarly well-heeled friends. Just as you’d expect, this lot aren’t exactly on the same page, and things do not stay friendly for long. As the evening wears on, nastier secrets start floating to the surface, apparently derailing what was meant to be a sophisticated little get-together.
Behind the Scenes
Simon Woods isn’t just directing; he also wrote the thing. The producers’ stable is looking pretty stacked as well: Josh Hyams (he’s got a BAFTA on the shelf), Andy Berg, and John Sachs are producing, while the executive producer team includes Frédéric Fiore, Ryan Wickers, Dave Bishop, James Pugh, George Hamilton, Andrei Kamarowsky, and Charles Low. Not a bad roll call, for what that’s worth.
Where & When?
Filming’s taking place down in the south of France right now – one assumes somewhere appropriately swanky, given the premise. There’s no official word yet on a release date. And, just to tidy up a bit of cast shuffling: Anthony Boyle has stepped in after Jamie Dornan (yes, that Jamie Dornan) dropped out not long ago.
