Apple TV's twisty Tatiana Maslany thriller is the kind of show that punishes impatient bingers — because, as of July 2026, it isn't finished yet.

Season 1 of Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed runs for 10 episodes, released weekly on Wednesdays since its double-episode premiere on 20 May 2026. The finale, "Queens", lands on 15 July 2026.

The full season 1 schedule

  • Episode 1: "Magnets" — 20 May 2026
  • Episode 2: "YABA" — 20 May 2026
  • Episode 3: "Chunnel" — 27 May 2026
  • Episode 4: "Raisins" — 3 June 2026
  • Episode 5: "Scamboy" — 10 June 2026
  • Episode 6: "Rosebuds" — 17 June 2026
  • Episode 7: "Fighting" — 24 June 2026
  • Episode 8: "Hallidays" — 1 July 2026
  • Episode 9: "Erroneous" — 8 July 2026
  • Episode 10: "Queens" — 15 July 2026 (finale)

Episodes are short by prestige-TV standards — roughly 30 to 40 minutes each — so a full catch-up before the finale is a single evening's work.

What's it actually about?

Maslany plays Paula Saunders, a newly divorced New York fact checker fighting a custody battle with her ex-husband Karl (Jake Johnson). Her real trouble starts when she witnesses Trevor, the webcam boy she's been paying for company, get beaten and kidnapped live on camera. When Trevor turns up dead, Paula is pulled into a spiral of blackmail, murder, and — genuinely — youth soccer. The cast also includes Dolly de Leon, Jon Michael Hill, Brandon Flynn, and Murray Bartlett, with David Gordon Green directing and David J. Rosen as creator and showrunner.

De Leon, who plays Detective Sofia Gonzalez, summed up the show's engine in a June 2026 Hollywood Life interview — her detective starts out dismissive of Paula and gets hooked:

"She's not as simple as Sofia Gonzalez thought; she's quite complicated."
