Weddings crash, the dead rise, and now Salem may be staring down its darkest twist yet: Days of Our Lives fans are convinced Johnny could be the next to fall.

If you've been keeping up with Days of Our Lives lately, you know the show is basically allergic to anything calm or predictable. Family drama, fake deaths, weddings that go sideways—DOOL just piles it on. But right now, the heat is cranked up for one DiMera in particular: Johnny. And the whole fandom is basically on edge, wondering… is Johnny about to get bumped off?

So, Is Johnny Toast?

Let's be real: usually when there's talk of a major character dying on a soap, it's a bluff. But this time? The classic 'maybe, maybe not' is feeling more like a 'yeah, probably.' Here's why:

  • Kristen is cooked up and serving her wildest revenge yet — On a recent episode, she pulled back the curtain on her latest plot against EJ. It's as over-the-top as ever, but there's a nasty twist: she's actually trying to rope Sophia into helping her kill Johnny. All because she blames EJ for taking her own daughter away and, well, apparently fair play isn't a DiMera thing.
  • Kristen says Sophia will 'get away with murder' — Now, if you've been around soaps for more than five minutes, a line like that usually spells doom for someone. Pretty on the nose.
  • The actor's real-world status isn't helping — Carson Boatman (Johnny's actor) was one of four cast members cut at the start of the year, and it's no secret that sometimes a firing means your character is about to get a one-way ticket out via a coffin. The thing is, he's not gone yet. The usual filming schedules mean Johnny will be around until almost the end of 2024.
  • And here's the extra-wild part: dying doesn't mean you're gone — In classic DOOL style, even death is kind of optional. EJ and Dr. Rolf recently managed to bring Lexie back from the grave (seriously), so if Johnny does get killed off, don't bet against a resurrection plot. If Lexie can be revived, anyone can.

So yeah, the writing's on the wall: Johnny could be getting the axe soon, and the show isn't exactly being subtle about it. Of course, this is Days of Our Lives—they could always hit the undo button, especially with diabolical science on call. The only guarantee is it won't be boring.

"You'll get away with murder." — Kristen, going Full Villain to Sophia

Bottom line: Johnny's number might be up, but in Salem, death is more of a suggestion than a rule. Stay tuned—it'll get weirder before it gets clearer.
