Gen V was never really a separate show — it's The Boys with a student loan. Across two seasons of the Godolkin University spin-off, more than a dozen characters wandered over from the parent series, some for thirty seconds, some for whole story arcs.

Here's the complete register, season by season.

The season 1 cameos

Season 1 arrived in September 2023 and wasted no time raiding the main cast:

  • A-Train and Madelyn Stillwell — episode 1 opens with a flashback to the day A-Train joined The Seven, with Elisabeth Shue's Stillwell on welcome duty in an old Vought recording.
  • The Deep — the eulogy of the headline. Chace Crawford appears in a recorded video tribute for Professor Brinkerhoff, a God U alumnus honouring a dead lecturer he presumably couldn't pick out of a line-up.
  • Ashley Barrett — Colby Minifie recurs as Vought's new CEO, attempting to spin Luke's very public death.
  • Victoria Neuman — Claudia Doumit becomes Marie's sponsor and shares a town hall stage with her in episode 7, bonding over their matching blood powers.
  • Soldier Boy — Jensen Ackles turns up in episode 6, inside Cate's memories, when the students go rummaging through her mind.
  • Adam Bourke — P.J. Byrne's film director takes a guest lecturer gig.
  • Love Sausage — appears in an episode 3 flashback to Sage Grove. One specific part of him, anyway.
  • Homelander — Antony Starr lands in the season finale, frames Marie and her friends for the campus massacre, and lasers her for good measure.
  • Billy Butcher — Karl Urban gets the post-credits scene, poking around the ruins of the Woods.

The season 2 cameos

Season 2 ran from 17 September to 22 October 2025 and slotted in directly after The Boys season 4:

  • Starlight — Erin Moriarty saves Marie from Dogknott in the opening episode, then stays woven into the season as the face of the resistance. Dogknott himself, briefly glimpsed in The Boys season 4, gets a full outing here.
  • The Deep — back in episode 2 for a fraternity initiation, complete with hooded robe and a hazing ritual he declares a "joyous occasion".
  • Firecracker — Valorie Curry appears via her Truthbomb broadcasts, blaming Starlighters for everything up to and including the weather.
  • Black Noir — the new Noir captures Polarity, kills poor Doug in the process, then bores his hostage with Vought film trivia.
  • Sister Sage — spotted orbiting the new dean, Cipher, and quietly steering events for reasons of her own.
  • Stan Edgar — Giancarlo Esposito returns to deliver the Project Odessa exposition: Homelander and Marie were the programme's only two surviving babies.
  • Zoe Neuman — Victoria's daughter arrives in episode 6 and removes Vikor's head to save Marie and company.
  • A-Train — the finale reveals he's been scouting for Starlight's resistance, tracking Marie's group down at speed.

So where's Homelander in season 2?

Nowhere, in person. Antony Starr's only Gen V appearance remains that season 1 finale — season 2 settles for his portrait, his propaganda, and his new world order hanging over the campus. Given the show exists partly to bridge into The Boys season 5, his absence was the point: the collision was being saved for the main event.

For the record: that's the complete list, and it will stay complete — Amazon cancelled Gen V after two seasons in April 2026. The cameos have officially run out.
