Don't Miss Watson Season 2 Episode 18: Release Date, Exact Time, And Where To Watch
Reeling from a car crash and haunted by visions of Sherlock that resurrect mentor Malcom Anson’s old case, Watson Season 2 races toward Episode 18—here’s the release date, time, and where to watch.
If you’re following ‘Watson’ (and come on, who isn’t at this point?), you’ll want to mark your calendar for Season 2, Episode 18—which is about to drop soon. Here’s what went down in episode 17, where the show took a pretty wild narrative swing, plus all the crucial info for the next installment.
Previously, On ‘Watson’: Hallucinations, Brain Tumors, and Flashbacks
The last episode, ‘Unsolved Mysteries’, didn’t waste any time, picking up right at the aftermath of that big car accident cliffhanger from episode 16. We get Watson and Laila stuck in the wreck, with Watson, not exactly in his right mind, hallucinating conversations with Sherlock—and also flashing back to an old case involving his mentor, Malcolm Anson (aka Mr. A).
So, what was Watson’s brain cooking up between those head injuries and near-death trauma? Well, he’s haunted by guilt over Mr. A’s death—which he’s convinced he missed something about—and now is trying to figure out what weird disease took down both Mr. A and is now threatening Reagan (Mr. A’s daughter). Yes, another somber trip down memory lane.
Eventually, Holmes (in Watson’s mind, at least) helps the real-life team crack the medical puzzle, so Reagan gets treatment just in time. So at least something in this fever dream pays off. Meanwhile, back in the here-and-now, Laila barely makes it through emergency surgery, and Watson—after all those visions—wakes up to some lousy medical news: he’s got a brain tumor. Because no, almost dying in a car crash wasn’t enough drama.

- Where to Watch: CBS (yes, classic network TV—sometimes the old ways are fine)
Quick Recap: What ‘Watson’ Is Actually About
Just in case you wandered in thanks to some pop-up video thumbnail and need the premise: After Sherlock Holmes gets offed by Moriarty (RIP, consulting detective), Dr. Watson tries to move on as the boss of a clinic for rare diseases. Naturally, it’s not long before his life gets complicated again, as the ghosts (and maybe actual ghosts?) of his previous partnership keep dragging him into new mysteries—and personal tragedies.
CBS officially puts it this way:
'A year after the death of his friend and partner, Sherlock Holmes, at the hands of Moriarty, Dr. John Watson resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders. However, he soon finds that his old life is not done with him yet.'
So, expect medical drama, psychological baggage, and an above-average chance of someone hallucinating dead friends. See you Sunday (and maybe have some tissues ready).
