Don’t Count Out Jude Law’s Star Wars Series: Season 2 Still in Play on Disney+

Fancy another round of Star Wars adventures with Jude Law and his ragtag bunch? There's fresh chatter out there that Skeleton Crew might not be one-and-done after all, despite Disney+ keeping very schtum about a series renewal.

Kerry Condon Spills a Tiny Bit of Hope

Kerry Condon, who you'll know from the first season as Fara (that's Fern's mum and the big boss on the planet At Attin, if you've forgotten all the Star Wars geography), recently let slip that another season is on the cards. Possibly. Emphasis on the ‘maybe’. She was chatting to the lot at Screen Rant and put it like this:

'I mean, I heard maybe possibly, but I don't know.'

So yes, that’s not an official green light—more the sort of hopeful rumour you get floating about on any set. Still, it's more than nothing, and it's got the fans speculating again.

Condon went on to say she hopes it happens, not least because she thought the younger cast were brilliant—a nice nod to the kids at the centre of all the galaxy-hopping trouble this time around:

'You never know in this business, but I really hope so because I thought the kids were great.'

Creators Up for More—But Still Waiting

The show's co-creators, Jon Watts (yep, the Spider-Man bloke) and Christopher Ford, have previously said they're up for another round if the demand’s there. Over in a TechRadar interview, Watts said:

'If people want to see more Skeleton Crew, we'd be happy to make more.'

Bit conditional, but the intent is clear: they’re game if Disney+ gives the go-ahead and the audience turns up.

What Was Skeleton Crew Again?

In case you missed the chatter, Skeleton Crew dropped in December 2024. It's one of the more kid-centred Star Wars spinoffs, though not in a 'silly' way. The story follows a group of kids from the planet At Attin, who somehow end up stranded across the galaxy after pirates get in the way of their homeward journey. Jude Law pops up in the mentor/protector role, as you’d expect. Critics and early viewers were mostly positive about it, so it’s not a total shock there’s talk of another season—if everyone involved can find the time (and, of course, if Disney+ reckons it’s worth the outlay).
