The silence is broken: cameras are rolling on A Quiet Place Part 3, with Cillian Murphy returning, as John Krasinski kicked off production with a set photo on Instagram.

You know what's louder than a firework in 'A Quiet Place'? John Krasinski on Instagram. We finally have some real news about A Quiet Place Part 3, and yes, Cillian Murphy is officially back. He couldn't stay quiet for long.

The Band's Getting Back Together (and Bringing Friends)

Krasinski kicked off production with a behind-the-scenes shot—nothing too spoilery, just a good old film slate parked in front of the Manhattan Bridge Arch in Chinatown, New York City. Honestly, it's hard to argue with that view.

So who's back in this round of the world's scariest silent game?

  • Cillian Murphy is returning as Emmett—the survivor who joined the party in Part 2, and, let's face it, quickly became the Abbott family’s most valuable MVP. The guy just won an Oscar, so expect Emmett to have even more dramatic heft this time.
  • Emily Blunt (Evelyn), Millicent Simmonds (Regan), and Noah Jupe (Marcus) are all back, apparently determined to make a living in a world where sneezing can get you eaten alive.
  • New faces in the noise-averse universe: Jack O’Connell, Jason Clarke, and Katy O’Brian. No word yet on who they’re playing, but I’m guessing at least one of them won’t make it to the credits.

Back to the Big Apple, Now with More Aliens

Filming in New York is no accident. Last year, the spinoff A Quiet Place: Day One (with Michael Sarnoski directing and Lupita Nyong'o plus Joseph Quinn leading the cast) dropped us into ground zero for monster-related carnage. Krasinski's new sequel seems ready to pick up some of that prequel's New York chaos and run with it.

From what’s clear, Part 3 isn’t shying away from wrecked cityscapes. Considering how much tension Day One squeezed out of NYC, I’m here for more skyscraper skulking.

Don't Expect This One Anytime Soon

Now, set your alarms (seriously, you’ll probably forget by then): A Quiet Place Part 3 lands in theaters July 30, 2027. If you thought the wait for Part 2 was rough, this one will really test your patience—especially since it’s been six years since the last main sequel.

Will Krasinski Pop Up Again?

Quick reminder: Krasinski originally played Lee Abbott, who met an end that was both heroic and really, really final. Still, he hasn’t been shy about popping up in flashbacks, so don’t count out a cameo or two—especially if nostalgia and the script call for it.

'Can't tell you how excited I am to be back in this world... got chills the moment we rolled the camera,' Krasinski teased on Instagram.

With Murphy’s rising star power and the promise of even more monster-infested survival awkwardness, the hype is at a full boil. Now we just have to shut up and wait.
