Beauty in Black was cancelled once, and Netflix is shooting season 4 in eleven days

Tyler Perry's glossy family drama, which was unceremoniously canned before, has made a serious comeback, and judging by what’s going on behind the scenes, the show’s next chapter is already gearing up for production—faster than most expected.

The third season only just dropped on Netflix last month, following the exploits of two women from the Bellary family as they juggle political schemes, dodgy crime antics, and, yes, haircare (because why not). If you thought season three rattled through plot with its usual Tyler Perry energy, you’re not alone—it finished on a pile-up of cliffhangers. Now, it looks like you won't be left dangling for another endless hiatus.
Filming and Expected Release
According to shooting schedules, Netflix plans to have cameras rolling on Beauty in Black season 4 across Atlanta and Chicago, meaning we’ll likely get more of that location-hopping slickness. Production is currently pencilled in for a rapid window between 19 and 30 October 2026, which is unusually tight by TV standards. The report floating around suggests the new season might get its premiere in either spring or summer of 2027—all down to Netflix wrangling post-production at its usual pace.
What’s Coming in Season 4?
Details about the story are still kept tightly under wraps (classic Perry), but season three left things at fever pitch. There’s the possible deaths of Horace and Norman to untangle, whatever’s going on with Charles and Varney, and the aftermath of that club shooting. Honestly, who made it out of there? We’re not told yet if Kimmie and Mallory survived, which pretty much guarantees at least one dramatic opening next time around.
