All James Bond Films Set for Netflix Debut in January
From January 15, every James Bond film will land on Netflix, as Amazon MGM Studios continues to licence MGM’s catalogue to other streaming platforms.
James Bond’s cinematic escapades are about to find a new home, and it’s not where you might expect. Despite Amazon MGM Studios holding the reins to the 007 franchise, the entire collection of Bond films is heading to Netflix in early 2026. Starting 15 January, viewers will be able to stream all 26 instalments, a move that keeps the world’s most famous spy in the public eye while Amazon continues to play the long game with its prized property.
Chris Ottinger, who oversees worldwide distribution at Amazon MGM Studios, put it plainly:
“When Amazon acquired MGM, Amazon's plan was to continue licensing MGM's iconic library to streaming and television partners around the world,”
he explained.
“Bringing these iconic films and shows to Netflix is part of that continued strategy.”
So, rather than hoarding Bond for its own Prime Video service, Amazon is opting to share the spoils, at least for now.
Bond’s Streaming Adventures
This isn’t the first time 007 has popped up somewhere unexpected. Not so long ago, the entire run was made available on Pluto, a free streaming platform, giving fans a chance to revisit the classics without reaching for their wallets. Netflix, however, has managed to secure a slightly more comprehensive deal. Among the titles on offer is 1983’s Never Say Never Again, notable for being Sean Connery’s swansong as Bond. The film, often left out of official marathons due to its non-Eon Productions origins, will now sit alongside the rest of the canon for curious completists.
With Netflix’s reputation as a go-to destination for film lovers, the move is likely to keep Bond’s profile high while the world waits for the next chapter in the saga. It’s a shrewd bit of timing, ensuring that the franchise remains firmly in the cultural conversation.
What’s Next for 007?
As for the future, details about the next Bond outing remain tightly under wraps. The only nugget of information to slip out so far is that Denis Villeneuve, best known for his work on Dune, is set to direct. Beyond that, speculation is rife, but official word is in short supply.
In the meantime, Netflix’s Bond bonanza offers a chance to revisit the series from start to finish—or perhaps to settle the age-old debate over which actor wore the tux best. Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, George Lazenby: everyone has their favourite, and the streaming line-up means there’s no excuse not to revisit their finest moments.
For the Fans
If you’re keen to brush up on your Bond knowledge, now’s the perfect opportunity. Whether you’re after a refresher on the best entries, curious about the correct viewing order, or simply want to see how the franchise has evolved over the decades, Netflix will have you covered. The only question left: who gets your vote for the ultimate Bond?
