After a career-high 2026 packed with five releases, including The Odyssey and Spider-Man 4, Zendaya plans to disappear for a while once the promo blitz wraps—stepping out of the spotlight for a hard-earned break.

If you feel like Zendaya has been everywhere lately, you are not wrong. Frankly, she has barely had time to breathe, let alone put her feet up. This year — and let’s not forget, it’s only 2026 — she’s been pinging around the globe promoting not one, not two, but five major projects. Hosting more press junkets than hot dinners, she’s now made it official: after all this, she’s bunking off for a bit.

Running Through Zendaya’s 2026 Schedule

  • The Drama – kicked things off back in spring. That one pretty much set the pace for an absurdly hectic year.
  • Euphoria, Season 3 – dropped sometime around the same era, keeping her tied up with its usual mess of headlines and critical fuss.
  • The Odyssey – set for a summer release and, if you’re keeping count, the press tour brought her to New York for the premiere.
  • Spider-Man: Brand New Day – yep, another July film, so picture Zendaya racing between red carpets and early morning interviews with alarming efficiency.
  • Dune: Part Three – this blockbuster lands in December, rounding off the year with yet more sci-fi dust and likely, even more promo duty.

And this isn’t even counting her continued collaboration with stylist Law Roach, who’s been responsible for decking her out in a parade of eye-catching looks across all five campaigns. At this point, you’d need a spreadsheet to keep track.

'Just mind my business, you know?'

Entertainment Tonight caught up with her at The Odyssey’s premiere in New York, and couldn’t help but pose the question: what on earth does she do after all this wraps up? Her answer, delivered with that total candour she’s become known for:

'Oh girl, nothing. Just mind my business, you know? And stay to myself.'

Honestly, couldn’t blame her if she spent the rest of the year in pyjamas. Zendaya made it clear the travel and relentless schedule have already been a lot. 'This is such a whirlwind, and you’re kind of in a new place every second,' she explained. She also said sometimes you need to just 'disappear for a little bit.' And who can argue with that level of jetlag?

But Will She Actually Rest?

There’s a twist. Zendaya’s told ELLE magazine she’s not exactly great at switching off. 'As soon as I take a break, I start to go crazy. And I’m like, I need to work,' she said. Not exactly the type to be spotted browsing garden centres or perfecting a sourdough.

In case you’re wondering if she’s worried about audience fatigue, she made a joke of it to Fandango earlier this year: 'I just hope people don’t get sick of me.'

One final bit for fans: don’t panic, she’s not vanishing entirely. She’s already lined up Shrek 5 for 2027, so expect her to pop back up before too long. But for now, after December’s round of Dune press, Zendaya’s about to have a well-earned spell focusing on precisely nothing.
