Office Romance landed on Netflix on 5 June 2026 and immediately became a talking point — partly because of the Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein pairing, partly because of the ending. Here's what happens and how it all wraps up.

The setup

Jackie Cruz (Jennifer Lopez) is the CEO of AirCruz, an airline founded by her father. She's also a trained pilot — confident, sharp, and completely devoted to the company. Daniel Blanchflower (Brett Goldstein) is a British lawyer who ends up working on AirCruz's legal team.

Their chemistry is instant, but AirCruz has a strict zero-tolerance policy on workplace relationships. They try to keep things professional. They fail.

How it all goes wrong

A rival airline, Falcon, hires a private investigator who photographs Jackie and Daniel together. This gives Falcon leverage: if the relationship becomes public, it could destabilise AirCruz and undermine Jackie's authority with the board.

Daniel resigns to protect Jackie, but she decides that the only way to shield the company from further damage is to step down as CEO herself. She prepares a public statement and schedules a press conference to announce her departure.

The ending

Daniel, now working at a different firm, realises he can't let Jackie sacrifice everything. He turns up at the press conference and publicly admits to the relationship — going into rather graphic detail about his feelings, in true Brett Goldstein fashion. His logic is simple: if the secret is already out, Falcon has no leverage.

Jackie's father stands up and backs her, telling the room she's the brains behind the company and that if she leaves, he leaves too. Jackie changes her mind on the spot, announces she's staying, and confirms the Dallas expansion will go ahead. She also lifts the company's anti-fraternisation policy entirely — prompting a flood of confessions from other employees to a very overwhelmed HR department.

Short answer: no, Jackie does not lose AirCruz. She keeps the company, keeps Daniel, and there's a post-credits scene showing the two of them planning their wedding in London.

It's a classic rom-com ending — no great surprises there — but it earns its feel-good moment through the leads' chemistry and the sheer absurdity of the final press conference scene.
