He swears blind he’s innocent – naturally – but the evidence stacked up, and no one believed him. Cue five years later: David's ex-sister-in-law (played by Britt Lower) rocks up for a prison visit, armed with a holiday snap showing a boy who looks suspiciously like his supposedly dead son. David loses the plot – and then escapes from prison. It's one of those, 'I must clear my name/find my kid/dodge every detective in America' jobs. Also, there's a whole tangle of conspiracies going on that definitely won't untangle with a cup of tea and a chat.
