Taylor Sheridan tightens his grip on Paramount+, locking down half the Global Top 10 with five of his biggest hits.

Taylor Sheridan is basically the king of modern TV drama, whether anybody likes it or not. If his name is attached to a show, odds are people are going to watch it—and we keep getting proof. It all started back in 2018 with Yellowstone (yes, believe it or not, it’s been eight years already), and the guy has been on a ridiculous hot streak ever since, cranking out hit after hit for Paramount+—and soon, apparently, elsewhere.

Some folks might remember Sheridan as Deputy Hale from Sons of Anarchy, but let’s be honest: he’s way more famous now for the stuff he’s written and directed behind the scenes. That includes films like Sicario, Hell or High Water, and the rock-solid Wind River. But it’s on TV where he’s really changed the game, turning the Dutton family saga into an empire, then spinning off three more shows—with a fourth on the way. He doesn’t just stick to Westerns, either; crime, drama, and thrillers all seem to work out for him, if you look at the numbers.

Sheridan’s Latest Streaming Takeover

Want a snapshot of his dominance? As of now, five out of the top 10 shows worldwide on Paramount+ have the Sheridan stamp all over them (these rankings are per Flix Patrol, in case you’re wondering). It's almost absurd, but here's how that breaks down:

  • #1: Marshals, the latest Yellowstone spin-off
  • #3: The Madison, a brand-new family drama
  • #4: Yellowstone itself, still going strong
  • #6: Tulsa King, starring—you guessed it—Sylvester Stallone
  • #10: Landman, another newer Sheridan series

Half the global Paramount+ Top 10 belongs to this guy. For a single creator, that’s almost unheard of. Somebody at Paramount+ has gotta be sweating bullets now that Sheridan is headed for different pastures (if you missed it, he’s signed a gigantic deal with NBCUniversal), but his legacy at Paramount will not be easy to top.

Next Up: Another Yellowstone Sequel

You’d think audiences might get tired of his brand at some point, but according to the viewership, people are still very much in. Both Marshals and The Madison are clicking with fans, and that’s not stopping Sheridan from gearing up for his next big launch: Dutton Ranch. This one is dropping in May and, for anyone scoring at home, it’s another direct sequel to Yellowstone.

And get this—director Greg Yaitanes has flat-out called it "Yellowstone Season 6," which is about as direct as it gets. The new show finds Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler (still played by Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser) trying to carve out a new life for themselves on a massive, 7,000-acre ranch. The nine-episode first season lands on Paramount+ starting May 15, so Yellowstone fans might want to block off some time.

So, if you’re counting, that’s another sure-bet hit from Taylor Sheridan waiting in the wings. And the crazy part? He doesn’t even seem close to running out of steam yet.
