Spider-Man: Brand New Day swaps its end-credits surprise overseas

Feige had a fair bit of praise for the band in the video, saying he actually met up with Mrs. Green Apple in both Los Angeles and Tokyo, and, after spending some time with them, they’ve become his 'new favourite band.' He explained the group’s Spider-Man obsession made them a natural fit to contribute something special to this instalment, at least for Japanese cinemas.

Details on the Song, and Why No One Else Is Getting It

• The new song, Brand New, was written by Motoki Omori—he’s the lead guy in Mrs. Green Apple, if you’re not familiar.
• It’s only landing in Japanese theatres, on the dubbed prints. No plans for it in the UK, US, or anywhere else.
• That’s not all: Japan’s getting the movie a bit later than other international spots—while it starts rolling out July 29 in the Philippines and here in the UK, Japan (and the States, funnily enough) has to wait until July 31 for the debut.
• And yes, Sony Pictures Japan wants you to know the film is opening across Japan in IMAX, so if you want those web-slinging set pieces massive and loud, you’re sorted.

Who’s Back and Who’s New in Brand New Day

Not to be buried under the cross-cultural marketing, the film itself sees Tom Holland back in the Spidey suit, joined again by Zendaya—no shocks there. But there’s a bit of casting news to note: Sadie Sink (of Stranger Things fame) is making her MCU debut in this one. No details yet on who she’s playing, but it’s a bit more spice for your ensemble stew.
