Robert Pattinson is crossing streams 21 years after Cedric Diggory. As The Batman: Part II gears up, he jokes his daughter might end up at the same school as the kid stars of the upcoming Harry Potter TV series.

Robert Pattinson manages to accidentally link two enormous pop culture franchises – Harry Potter and The Batman – while chatting about his daughter and work in the UK. Not exactly the crossover anyone expected, but there you have it.

School Runs, Potter Style

So here’s what happened: Pattinson, who shares a young daughter with fiancée Suki Waterhouse, admitted in a GQ interview that he’s already started looking into schools for his little one. Bit premature maybe, but fair enough – parents do like to get a head start. Naturally, the conversation took a turn thanks to his upcoming filming schedule.

'The Batman: Part II' is gearing up to shoot in London, in the shadow of Warner Bros.' Leavesden Studios. If the name rings a bell, it's because that's the same patch of ground where the new Harry Potter TV reboot is currently being filmed. This is where Pattinson’s Potter past inevitably wormed its way in.

He explained that among the local schools he was browsing, there’s one rather unique option:

'I’ve already looked and there’s a Harry Potter school.'

He clarified that it’s not Hogwarts – alas – but a school set up for the young actors who are part of the new Harry Potter series while filming is taking place. Still, he quipped that he’s already considered it for his own offspring.

'I was like, This is where you’re going to go to school. To Hogwarts. And I legitimately think that might actually be her first school.'

Pattinson’s Oddly Circular Career

In case anyone’s forgotten (rude) – Pattinson did play Cedric Diggory in 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' over two decades ago now. Since then, he's veered from Twilight sparkling vampire territory, then swung full Bat-mode as Bruce Wayne for Matt Reeves’ grungy reboot. It's an admittedly odd journey: once a Hogwarts golden boy, now brooding around Gotham, and suddenly back researching Potter-adjacent schools – life's a loop.

What’s Next for Pattinson?

  • 'The Batman: Part II' is expected to film in London, not far from the Harry Potter TV set.
  • Before Bruce Wayne returns to the screen, Pattinson is due to appear in Christopher Nolan’s 'The Odyssey', a big mythological epic. He's playing Antinous – one of the Greek suitors – with a proper ensemble cast backing him up.
  • Release date for that one’s locked for 17 July 2026.

Pattinson's career continues to hop between mega franchises, with the Harry Potter universe now (somewhat bizarrely) resurfacing in his own family logistics.
