Ready for a fresh MCU scene-stealer in a Disney+ show? VisionQuest’s creator is teasing one

Right, so after a long wait and a mountain of rumours, VisionQuest finally has a date and some properly juicy casting news. Anyone who’s been tracking the Marvel Disney+ game for years will know this one’s supposed to round off the trilogy that started with WandaVision in 2021, carried on with Agatha All Along in 2024, and is now lining up for the hat-trick. And, yes, Paul Bettany is dusting off his synthoid circuits one more time.

VisionQuest lands on Disney+ with all eight episodes dropping 14 October 2026.

Marvel gets a new player

The interesting bit this time is Terry Matalas (the show’s creator and the bloke behind 12 Monkeys), actually talking about the new faces joining the MCU in VisionQuest. He’s keen on the British contingent, and if you care about future fan favourites, he put a fair bit of spotlight on T'Nia Miller in particular. Here’s how he put it in recent press:

If you’re wondering who T’Nia’s meant to be, here’s the gist: she’s taking on Jocasta, a robot pulled straight from the comics – originally designed as Ultron’s 'bride', but (fair play to her) ended up siding with the Avengers after turning on her creator. In this series, she’s playing a powerful, vengeful machine – though Marvel, shockingly, are playing things close to the chest as usual. A few whispers suggest that she might not be in just this series, but unless Kevin Feige announces it himself, pinches of salt and all that.

Who else is in the mix?

• Todd Stashwick as Paladin, a bounty hunter supposedly giving Vision a proper headache.
• James Spader making a comeback as Ultron – yes, the same one from back in Age of Ultron (2015).
• Familiar talent popping up too: Henry Lewis ('A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong'), Jonathan Sayer ('The Goes Wrong Show'), James D’Arcy (back from his Agent Carter stint), Orla Brady ('Into the Badlands'), Emily Hampshire ('The Rig'), and Ruaridh Mollica as Sebastian.

The setup? Eight hour-long episodes, all dropping in one go – which is honestly the only way people seem to watch these Marvel shows now. And for anyone counting, yes, this series is officially billed as the last piece in a three-part arc, tying things up from WandaVision to Agatha All Along and now VisionQuest. Marvel’s actually following through with a proper trilogy structure. Make of that what you will.
