Prime Video's raunchiest show of 2026 has not left the charts since May
Good news for fans: production on Season 2 is already under way.
Streaming can feel a bit like a revolving door these days, with new series arriving every week and most of them vanishing off the “most watched” lists as quickly as they showed up. Prime Video isn’t short on shiny new toys either—think Reacher flexing its muscles again, the unsettling Sterling Point, big-budget action in Ride or Die, and that Legally Blonde prequel (which, against the odds, isn’t half bad). Some shoot up the rankings, some nosedive just as fast. But since May, there’s one series that absolutely refuses to budge from Prime Video’s global top 10—and it’s probably not the one you’d guess.
Off Campus, based on Elle Kennedy’s novels, landed on 13 May and burned up the charts straight away. More than three months on, with new weekly releases for Reacher powering it to number one—as you’d expect—Off Campus is still sitting pretty at fourth place in the latest global rankings. The Summer I Turned Pretty, The Boys, and Clarkson’s Farm are also hanging about in the top tier; make what you will of that line-up.
Off Campus first appeared on Prime Video on 13 May 2026, and it has stayed in the service’s global top 10 originals ever since.
Why It Isn’t Just Teen Soap
You’d be forgiven for expecting another forgettable conveyor-belt romance: boy meets girl on a ludicrously good-looking campus, cue endless melodrama and people making the worst life choices on television. Instead, Off Campus has properly surprised critics and viewers—characters actually behave like humans, relationships have consequences, and the story doesn’t collapse into cliché after episode two. This isn’t just me saying so; critics have lavished the show with a 92% Rotten Tomatoes score, and viewers are keen as well—there’s an 88% audience rating.
Prime Video describes it as “a college-set romantic drama chronicling the unexpected love story between a music student and the university’s star hockey player, exploring themes of love and the complexities of adulthood through deep friendships and enduring bonds.” Not the most original premise, but on the actual screen, it’s got heart—and, crucially, people seem to care.
Season 2 Already in Motion
Call it a hit and you’d be underselling it. Kennedy’s books had a big following before, but this TV adaptation catapulted Off Campus into a proper streaming phenomenon. Unsurprisingly, Prime Video didn’t hang about—season two was signed off in record time, and yes, it’s already in production. Nothing official on a release date (Amazon love keeping us guessing), but word is they’re aiming for May 2027.
