Hulu’s Paradise is at a crossroads: will Season 3 rise from the ashes or be left for dead? From creator Dan Fogelman, the post-apocalyptic political thriller follows Secret Service agent Xavier Collins, accused of killing the President, as he fights to clear his name three years after doomsday.

Just when you thought Hulu was going to leave you hanging, there’s finally some clear news about the future of Paradise — that post-apocalyptic political thriller where surviving the end of the world apparently isn’t complicated enough, so they threw in a presidential murder scandal for good measure.

Renewed or Not? Here’s the Deal

People have been speculating (panicking?) about whether Paradise is getting chopped or getting more time to wrap things up. The short answer: Hulu is renewing Paradise for a third season. But don’t get too comfortable; this is also officially the final season. So, get ready for all those loose ends to finally get tied up—or not, depending on how much faith you have.

Where the Story’s At

Season 2 just wrapped up on March 30 with its eighth and final episode, 'Exodus.' (Yeah, subtle.) If you’ve been keeping track, Xavier Collins—Secret Service agent, now suspected presidential assassin—spent the season racing the clock to clear his name and apparently unraveling half the nation’s conspiracy secrets along the way. By the end, you’ve got two opposing factions in a full-on collision course, with Xavier, Link and his squad pushing the action, and Sinatra (not that Sinatra) risking everything for whatever agenda is at play. If you’re craving drama, it’s pretty much a buffet.

What the Creator’s Saying

Series creator Dan Fogelman has actually been pretty open about where things are headed. In a recent interview, he threw out this detail:

'In season three, which we’re already breaking — we’re breaking episode seven right now, and we know where it ends [with eight]; we know what episode eight is. Everybody gets their due. I will say that.'

Basically, they’re planning to use every bit of the remaining property to pay off fans (and characters) who’ve stuck it out this far. Fogelman admitted he plans to dig deeper into Robinson’s (played by Krys Marshall) backstory, along with fleshing out a couple more side characters. But, his team is clearly focused on making every moment count—especially since there’s not a ton of room left for filler.

Cast & Release Timing

The returning cast for Season 2 included:

  • Sarah Shahi
  • Percy Daggs IV
  • Julianne Nicholson
  • Shailene Woodley
  • Thomas Doherty
  • Aliyah Mastin
  • Krys Marshall
  • Charlie Evans
  • Nicole Brydon Bloom
  • Enuka Okuma

If Hulu keeps the same schedule (which, let’s be honest, is never guaranteed in streaming), Season 3 probably lands in 2027, since the first two seasons popped up in consecutive years. That’s a bit of a wait, but at least now you know the show’s not about to get yanked without a conclusion.

Final Word

So that’s the scoop: Paradise lives on for one more season. Start placing your bets now on who actually survives, whose backstory finally makes sense, and whether Hulu gives us an ending worth waiting three years for.
