Paradise fans won’t be waiting long: creator Dan Fogelman just dropped a Season 3 filming update that spells good news for the Hulu hit’s release date—and teases bigger shocks on and off the screen.

If you thought 'Paradise' was going to take a long, mysterious break after that Season 2 finale cliffhanger, think again. Dan Fogelman—yep, the guy who loves a big emotional twist—just dropped a production update that basically tells fans: stop panic-refreshing, Season 3 is already underway.

Filming Already Rolling… Literally Days After the Finale

Here’s how quick Hulu is moving with this: Season 2 of 'Paradise' wrapped up March 30. By April 7—they're filming Season 3. Think about that. In an industry where 'in production' sometimes means 'let’s wait six months for a script,' these folks are actually on set.

The official 'Paradise' account on X chimed in on April 8, posting:

'Almost like we never left. PARADISE Season 3 is officially in production.'

Dan Fogelman also tossed up a director's monitor shot on Instagram, with the caption 'S3. Let's go.' If you zoom in (like I did), you’ll spot Sterling K. Brown's Xavier and Enuka Okuma's Teri—yup, the character everyone thought was gone after Season 1. For reference, Okuma went from presumed dead to series regular in Season 2, which is quite the soap opera move, and now she’s still sticking around for Season 3.

The scene in the photo? Doesn't look familiar at all. So expect literally new territory next season.

When to Expect Season 3

If you’re trying to guess when we actually get to watch, let’s look at the numbers:

  • Season 1: Filmed Feb 2024 - Premiered Jan 26, 2025
  • Season 2: Filmed Mar 2025 - Premiered Feb 23, 2026
  • Season 3: Filming started Apr 2026

Given the pattern, they’ll probably drop Season 3 sometime in the first half of 2027. Nobody's said anything official, but unless every production light in Hollywood explodes, early 2027 is a safe bet.

The Big Plan—And a Tease

Executive producer and writer John Hoberg (he co-wrote that twisty Season 2 finale) told The Hollywood Reporter the team already knows how Season 3 ends. He sounded pretty confident, too:

'We feel really good about it. It’s something we’ve all been excited about for a very long time. It may not go where you guess or what you think, but I think it’s going to be satisfying in where it takes you.'

Translation: don't try to outguess them—the show will probably zig where you expect a zag.

What We’re Watching

'Paradise' is set in a bunker community in Colorado, three years after some kind of mysterious apocalypse (still not specified, which is kind of the point). The story centers around special agent Xavier Collins—Sterling K. Brown—who’s basically the bodyguard for what’s left of the US President (played by Cal Bradford).

Critics are into it, too: both seasons are 'Certified Fresh' on Rotten Tomatoes, with an 86% for Season 1 and 91% for Season 2. Not everyone loves a post-apocalyptic thriller, but Paradise is clearly doing something right.

Seasons 1 and 2 are already streaming on Hulu and Disney+—so if you missed the last batch of bunker drama, you can binge those now.
