New 007 betting odds crown a clear favourite to replace Daniel Craig

Right, so the guessing game over who’s going to step into James Bond’s immaculately polished shoes has officially hit a new phase — again. Ever since Daniel Craig signed off for good in No Time to Die, every bloke with a jawline and a British passport has been chucked into the rumour mill. Action Network — yes, the betting site, not MI6 — is now saying there’s a clear frontrunner after the latest round of odds got published.

Callum Turner is the new bookies' favourite for 007, reclaiming his lead with +146 odds, which works out to an implied 40.68% chance he'll sip the next on-screen martini.

The Current Standings

Callum Turner’s name has been knocking around the conversation for months, following his star turn in Masters of the Air. He first shot to the top of the odds way back in September 2025, but since then it’s been something of a revolving door, as Anthony Boyle and Jacob Elordi each took a turn leading the pack. Now, Turner’s slid back ahead and is looking pretty comfortable as the betting favourite. Let’s be fair, he ticks several of the hypothetical Bond boxes: British, credible in a suit, and just enough of a blank canvas that Amazon could build a whole new era around him.

• Callum Turner – odds +146 (approx. 40.68% chance)
• Tom Francis – odds +333. Francis, fresh off Sunset Boulevard and an Olivier award, reportedly actually auditioned — a proper boost in anyone’s book.
• Louis Partridge – odds +455. You’ve probably seen him in Enola Holmes. He’d be the youngest Bond by some distance, if chosen.
• Harris Dickinson – odds +500
• Aaron Taylor-Johnson – odds +567. He’s had the longest stretch at the top before but was overtaken after Amazon pressed the reset button on the whole franchise.

Just outside that little club: Jack Lowden, Jacob Elordi, Arty Froushan, Dónal Finn, and Leo Suter. Some of those names you might recognise if you’ve been paying close attention to the British acting factory in recent years — others, honestly, are probably there because the bookies needed to fill out a list.

Amazon’s Hand on the Wheel

All this Bookies’ Favourite noise comes at a time when the franchise is very much under new management. Amazon now owns Bond after buying up the rights, and they apparently want to have their new 007 all set before the end of 2026. Auditions are still happening, with another batch reportedly scheduled for later this month according to industry whisperers, so we might actually get a proper announcement sooner rather than later. Production for the next Bond film, though? That’s pencilled for a start in 2027 — so don’t get too excited about trailer drops just yet.

One point the odds compilers are keen to remind everyone: Daniel Craig himself wasn’t bookies’ favourite when he was picked, despite his 15-year stint now looking like textbook casting in hindsight. So, as much as the odds are a reliable barometer of current hype, it’s no signed contract.
