Dolly Martinez, a Season 10 participant on TLC’s My 600-Lb Life, has died at 30, her family said. Sister Lindsey Cooper announced the news hours after Martinez’s death on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Another tough update out of the My 600-Lb. Life world: Dolly Martinez, who you might remember from Season 10, has died at 30 years old. Her family broke the news late Saturday, April 11, 2026. The news comes straight from her sister, Lindsey Cooper, who posted about it just hours after Dolly passed.

Remembering Dolly Martinez

If you watched that season, you know Dolly’s story wasn’t easy to forget. She came on the show struggling with serious food addiction, mental health issues, and at the time was already on supplemental oxygen. Her episode didn’t gloss over any of it—she was pretty open about how tough things were.

By the end of her episode, things were looking up (at least a bit): Dolly was approved for weight loss surgery and even managed to lose 40 pounds. Sadly, she’s now joined the list of more than two dozen show participants who have passed away after being featured on the series.

The Family Statement

Lindsey’s Facebook post is, honestly, both heartbreaking and sweet. Here’s a little of what she said:

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beautiful sister, Dolly. Dolly had the brightest personality; she could light up any room with her laughter, her kindness, and her loving spirit. She had a way of making everyone feel special, and her warmth will stay with us forever. While our hearts are broken here, I find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with our dad in heaven. I can only imagine the joy of that reunion. Rest peacefully, Dolly. You will always be loved, always be missed, and never forgotten.

The post got a lot of responses and condolences from fans and friends—no surprise there, considering how much people connect with these stories (even the hard ones).

The Show’s Ongoing Legacy

For those who don’t follow it: My 600-Lb. Life sticks to a pretty intense format, following individuals over a year as they try to change their lives under some truly tough circumstances—usually while dealing with a mix of physical and mental health issues that go way beyond the number on the scale. It’s reality TV, but it’s also just plain real (sometimes brutally so).

  • The show has seen over two dozen participants pass away since their episodes aired.
  • The most recent season—Season 13—wrapped up on February 12, 2025.
  • No word yet on a Season 14 renewal.

It’s a sobering reality check behind the scenes of a show that, honestly, isn’t for everyone. If you feel like a regular, you know losing another cast member hits hard.

Rest in peace, Dolly. And, as usual, stay tuned for any updates about the show’s future—I’ll let you know if Season 14 gets the green light.
