Millie Bobby Brown has revealed her personal order of all five Stranger Things series, putting the debut run at the top and the second at the bottom, which has stirred up some discussion among fans.

Millie Bobby Brown has offered her own take on the five series of Stranger Things, and her preferences may raise a few eyebrows among viewers. When asked to arrange the series from best to worst, Brown did not hesitate:

“Season one's my favourite, then season five,”

she told Vanity Fair.

“Then season three, then season four, then season two.”

She elaborated on her choices, noting that the first series holds a special place for her.

“Season one, nostalgia-wise, it's my favourite season. Personally, it was the most exciting time of my life. But season five, the way it looks, the way it feels, the plot – all of it is my favourite.”

Despite placing the second series at the bottom, Brown was not dismissive:

“Least favourite, season two, just 'cause I don't really remember it,”

she admitted.

“Everyone hates episode seven.”

Cast Members Weigh In

Not everyone in the cast shares Brown’s view. Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, was quick to defend the much-maligned second series, saying it receives

“way too much slander.”

Gaten Matarazzo, known for his role as Dustin, also chimed in, calling it an

“underrated season.”

It’s fair to say the first series made a significant impact, launching a cultural phenomenon with its blend of supernatural intrigue and a strong sense of 1980s nostalgia. The fifth series, meanwhile, has been praised for its ambitious scope and emotional depth, with early reviews highlighting its

“blockbuster set-pieces”

and

“heartbreaking performances.”

The Second Series Debate

The second series, however, has long divided opinion. Much of the criticism centres on its seventh episode, ‘The Lost Sister’, in which Eleven encounters her ‘sister’ and a group of outsiders. Many viewers felt the episode’s abrupt shift in tone and pacing disrupted the momentum of the series’ final act.

Despite this, some fans and cast members continue to champion the second series, arguing that it is unfairly overlooked and contains moments of genuine quality. The debate over its merits seems unlikely to be settled any time soon.

Looking Ahead

With the first part of the fifth series now available, audiences are already speculating about what the remainder will bring. The release schedule for the next instalment is eagerly awaited, as fans prepare to see how the story will conclude.

Which series stands out as your personal favourite? The discussion among fans is sure to continue as the final episodes approach.
