How the roll-out works

The big news: rather than firing off the entire series in one go, the launch is staggered. A post-Korra world—and an Avatar nobody trusts

The setting is after The Legend of Korra, and it's not a happy place. Basically: catastrophe has struck, the world's a mess, and our new protagonist, Pavi—voiced by Saheli Khan—is an Earthbender who finds out she's the next Avatar. But rather than the usual hero's welcome, people are actually terrified that her appearance signals more doom on the way. Pavi isn't just struggling with bending or mastering the elements—she's got the whole world suspicious of her every move, which is a twist the franchise hasn't really tackled before.
