Even with Phase Six nearing its end, Kevin Feige says Marvel’s film machine isn’t easing off, teasing more to come beyond the next Avengers films.

If you thought Marvel was going to slow down after Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, think again. Kevin Feige, the man with the Marvel masterplan, turned up at the Beverly Hilton for the 2026 Pioneer of the Year bash and made it clear they're nowhere near running out of heroes or storylines – quite the opposite, frankly.

Accepting his award, Feige told the crowd, ‘Doomsday is only our 39th movie — we’ve still got a lot of stories to tell, a lot of movies to make.’

No subtle hint there. Apparently, the Marvel conveyor belt is still well and truly rolling, with Feige saying as much on stage in front of the Hollywood crowd. He did admit it’s easy for the team to get ‘bogged down’ in production chaos, but he claims reminding himself who the films are actually for keeps things in perspective. Polished, maybe, but he’s not wrong – there’s a lot going on behind the scenes with this lot.

What's Coming After Secret Wars?

If you’re scrambling to keep track, Secret Wars isn’t just a massive crossover event – it’s set to cap off Phase Six of the MCU. But Marvel already has not one, not two, but at least three more feature films dated and on the way as part of Phase Seven (and that’s just what’s been announced).

The 39th MCU movie arrives with Doomsday — and yes, there is already a 40th scheduled.

The main attractions in the post-Secret Wars era, officially on the calendar:

  • Untitled X-Men reboot: Marvel’s long-awaited crack at their own mutant franchise. It’s launching Phase 7, full cast and creative team already public, and set for 5 May 2028.
  • Ghost Rider: Ryan Gosling in the lead, Shawn Levy behind the camera. This one got its reveal at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, and the release date is 28 July 2028.
  • Black Panther 3: The Wakanda story keeps going. This round, David Jonsson picks up the mantle as Prince T’Challa II, Letitia Wright returns as Shuri, and it’s scheduled for 15 December 2028.

There are rumours swirling (a good few of them with substance) about a Shang-Chi sequel, and a Nova solo project, as well as the long-gestating Armor Wars — all of which are still officially ‘in development’. If you thought things might thin out, honestly, there’s little risk of that happening any time soon.
